Best Forge Upgrades?
What are some of your favorite forge upgrades? The wiki is lacking, so I want to hear your experiences.

I personally like having the first axe atleast lvl13-14, with Berserker + x2 Axe Damage Shield. That way with Oni's Revive I can tear through up to 100k mobs with no problem.

Are there any other OP strategies?

Gosh... At a certain point, I think the only thing that's needed is two, sometimes three levels in the initial axe. Fighting through 100k enemies just takes forever, and usually, I don't bother with fighting once I hit about 10k.

If you're looking to stay alive as long as possible, I'd think that the armor hammer upgraded as much as possible might do so, especially if you pair it with the helmet that adds +2 per kill. That, plus multiple levels of Oni's Revive, probably makes you close to unstoppable.

That actually sounds like a good idea, but isn't the hammer useless when the armor breaks?
You say you only come to about 10k mobs, do you have a faster way of getting tons of tiles?

Usually, it's better to just sail ASAP, vs. maxxing out the number of tiles on a continent. I'm a bit of a hypocrite on this, because I liked how 60ish tiles would look, so I'd usually shoot for that number. :) But I think most people on here recommend skipping Academy entirely once you open up the Wise Frog religion. (Not sure if you've gotten that far yet.)

If you want to use Academies, they're not bad to pick up a half dozen tiles or so, especially if you're running two of them at a time. But especially as you get deeper into the game, it's more effective to just focus on a build with Quarries, Cathedrals, Shipyards and Schools instead. (Once you sail a couple of times, in fact, Territory Idle can become a non-idle game, since there is almost always something to do...)

Gold is the fastest way to get tons of tiles. Late game, the chicken god rules the roost. The three or four tiles you can get per abdication with combat are nothing.

Damn. I guess I really don't know this game as well as I thought. Im on my fourth sailaway now, and I usually go for 40 tiles before sailing. What then is the fastest way to sailing way?

Spec all Empire points into gold generation. America 1 Russia 3 and Egypt 2. Rather reasonable with those to have enough gold after a chromlechis ritual run to about 1000 masons to afford 2-4 tile cost reductions and 1-3 tiles. This takes about the same amount of time as one hero to plow through 4000-5000 monsters while using the lv 5 hammer combo.

I have used your advice and now Im averaging 10-15 tiles a day, depending on how much I play actively. Thank you very much, and if you have any more tips please share!

Ha, congrats! Well, if you don't have it yet, you want to shoot for the 999 amber upgrade, since that makes restarting quicker. After that, the upgrades for wheat and stone are really useful.

If you can get the Wise Frog religion, you're probably at the point where battling is actually inefficient from a time perspective. However, unless you want to play active instead of idle, it's still fine to use some Academies.

Im at 837 Amber atm, Im very excited for the 99 worker upgrade!

I've got the Wise Frog recently, but what is so good about it? I don't see the huge deal with the Wise Frog

I never use it. Training room does more than enough. Berserker, and once you unlock the super hero addition, you move pretty fast through the mobs.

I upgrade the 2nd sword to use with the shield with 5 x damage with swords for Berserkers late on, it just seems quickest to get through 60k monsters

That's all well and good, but I think the question most experienced players would ask you is - Why do you want to get through 60,000 monsters? :D If you're just looking for a challenge, then sure, go ahead. But if you're just looking to acquire tiles and advance in the game, then combat for tiles gets inefficient quick. Someone has probably already crunched the math somewhere, but I usually stopped using the Academy once I was close to 10,000 monsters.
you could just build alot of acadamys at the 19th tile, because when you then get the 20th it also counts the fighting tiles when adding the water.
so you can get a bigger island just for that extra giggles

It passes the time trying to collect 200B faith to buy relics
