If you're looking to stay alive as long as possible, I'd think that the armor hammer upgraded as much as possible might do so, especially if you pair it with the helmet that adds +2 per kill. That, plus multiple levels of Oni's Revive, probably makes you close to unstoppable.
You say you only come to about 10k mobs, do you have a faster way of getting tons of tiles?
If you want to use Academies, they're not bad to pick up a half dozen tiles or so, especially if you're running two of them at a time. But especially as you get deeper into the game, it's more effective to just focus on a build with Quarries, Cathedrals, Shipyards and Schools instead. (Once you sail a couple of times, in fact, Territory Idle can become a non-idle game, since there is almost always something to do...)
Gold is the fastest way to get tons of tiles. Late game, the chicken god rules the roost. The three or four tiles you can get per abdication with combat are nothing.
If you can get the Wise Frog religion, you're probably at the point where battling is actually inefficient from a time perspective. However, unless you want to play active instead of idle, it's still fine to use some Academies.
I've got the Wise Frog recently, but what is so good about it? I don't see the huge deal with the Wise Frog
so you can get a bigger island just for that extra giggles
It passes the time trying to collect 200B faith to buy relics
