Pros and cons of sailing ASAP or waiting
I'm just about to sail away from the first continent, is there any point in staying and getting more tiles or should I sail away as soon as possible?

Lots of people will tell you to wait, I think it makes no sense. I'm currently on my sixth continent and each one gets easier and easier. Your amber income will rise because tiles are easier to buy (costs reset), you can upgrade your relics (10% of relevant resource per continent), and you get fame (3% abdication gold per fame, 1 fame per tile)... there's a reason the floor amount of tiles and ships rises each sail, it's overpowered. Note there is a hard cap on how high it rises (I think it's 50 tiles and 600 ships or something like that, not there yet).

What does matter I think, is invest amber on how you plan to play. If you're going to sail as often as possible, diversify your 25% purchases across resources to speed up runs overall. If you're going for big tile counts, pretty much just focus stone.

Thanks dude, good to know there is a cap on how hard it gets to sail away, is there a cap on how many times its possible to sail away as well?

First sail needs at least 25 tiles and 500 ships. This increases by 1 tile and 25 ships per sail until the requirements reach 50 tiles and 1500 ships. You can keep on sailing, just that the requirements won't rise past that point. Near the end, 70-90 tile continents are the norm.

And you can sail away as much as you want.

But at some time you want to do another thing :)

I completed the first continent, the other player sailed as fast as he could, twice. Now we both have the same production bonus, but I am playing with new features, like hero classes and late-run bonuses, and immigrants, and training halls, and forge, instead of just getting 20 tiles per day every day.

It probably depends on whether you find repetitive quick runs fun.

I agree it's whether you find quicker power scaling or late game features more entertaining; there's *zero* chance your longer continents keep up with repetitive "quick" runs. Not even sure I believe you could keep up with the same production bonuses, particularly since he/she can boost relics and you cannot, or at least not nearly at the same pace.

Yeah, absolutely. After a bit of exploring I'll go on a grinding spree.

Being able to boost relics from quick sailing is probably not a real bonus. All of my relics are level 3-4 and my max level is 13. I never have anywhere near 40B+ faith, doing quick runs. I think I sailed on 40 tiles last continent and don't think I ever hit 10B or more faith in a single run. Maybe I'm missing a fountain of faith somewhere :)

My issue I have is that for me to have enough ship I need 6 port. But can't build them because I had bought my first 20 territories in a square shape. I will end up having 27/28 ish territories when I first set sail. Maybe even 29.....
Next game will be a straight line 😋

It's fairly simple, but determined; right at the end when you have a bunch of tiles and are about to sail away, you do a relatively short run wherein you build 1 farm, 1 forest, 1 quarry, and 1:1 temples and cathedrals for everything else (no ships); just use international trade for the cathedral stone. Get nature and sacred pantheons, spam rituals and watch the faith cascade in. As you get things like greek 3/4 egypt 4 russia 5 this becomes faster/more valuable too

Are you buying cultists and capturing? Oni + cultists will keep you going infinitely, I generally stop around the 8k capture, but definitely capture a lot of tiles.

I'm on my first continent.
Surveyors X 6
Headhunters X 3
Cultists X 4
Number of monster requiered to capture a tile is arround 14K
Cost to purshace a new tile is 490m
...
So.... My goal currently is to get arround 450 Forest and as High I can in School than waste all my gold into International Trade to purshace Wood and upgrade my 5 shipyard to 100....
or.... Wait a few day and purshace a 6th shipyard (which will be my 28th tiles) and upgrade all the shipyard to 83..
------------------
Ended up just purshassing Wood and Wheat to slowly reach the number of ship needed.

Wait, you get so many workers per tile? I just stop at 150 loggers per forest, (only get 250 if I use goddess of nature, once grinded to 300 for the achievement, but that's too much normally), 100 instructors per school, 100 ships per shipyard, 85 bishops per cathedral (100 if I'm going really heavy on faith)

14k monsters is just <4 hours with oni berserker, too, if you have 4 revives (maybe even 3)
