You landed here because you hope to get the answer to the question that keeps coming up: "When will this game come back?" To destroy your dreams and positive thinking right from the start: not at all. At least not in the foreseeable future.

Q.: "I buy this game cheaply from eBay. Can't I activate the key that comes with the game?
A.: No. This key is from GfW and was not converted into a steam key.

Q.: "Can't I get a cheap key somewhere?"
A.: No. This game does not have a retail key that works on Steam. It's not even a steam-works game.

Q.: "Why can't I just get the game from somewhere and install it classically and then add it to Steam as a third-party game?"
A.: You can do that. But it's not what it's supposed to be. No +1 in Steam. No game time to count, no feeling of superiority to own one of the rarest games in Steam.

Q.: "The game isn't that great."
A.: Just tell yourself that. Just because you're bitter that you don't have it on Steam doesn't mean it's not a solid game with a fun setting. You're just jealous and grumpy.

Q.: "Does anyone have the game as a gift and wants to sell it to me?"
A.: Possibly. But everyone who has this game in his inventory knows about its steep price and can demand a small fortune for it.

You don't need this game, because you won't play it anyway. Each of you who "absolutely must have" this game only needs it to profile yourselves; not to actually play it. Admit it. You're not fans; you're just collectors.

I would rather leave this game to a user for free, if I know that he actually plays it, than someone who only displays this game as an adornment on his profile.

It doesn't. The boxed version has no key and no GFWL features (achievements for example)

Technically it's just Games for Windows rather than GFWL but that's beside the point, any key that came with the disc won't work with Steam, so the point still stands.
