What does the F Rank do?

The F Rank doesn't change Rank, like for example F Rank to D Rank. There is a number and it seems the max number you can get is 10. Is there a higher rank or number? Is there a purpose for this? I'm just curious about this.

I like this game, but on top of being buggy and laggy this game doesn't really explain too much about the minor parts of the game. If you took on the magic stone challenge in the dungeon In the Pipe (I think that what the dungeon is called) you probably know what I'm talking about.

I don't remember what the F stands for, but it's basically this character's rank as a party leader; it increases as your win battles with this character in the front position, and it makes her party bonus better. For example, it will increase Blanc's auto-heal bonus (at the end of the game, I basically almost left her in front, even though that meant only using basic attacks on the other girls, and the regeneration she provides would easily out-heal any damage they took, save for the toughest fights like the last Hunting mission).

Thank you. Good tip on Blanc I will try to get her auto heal going. So far I haven't found the ability unless I'm missing it, which is possible.

It's Formation Rank. As a leader characters define a type of formation and each formation gives three bonuses - stat bonus, special bonus and resist bonus. Higher Formation Rank means higher bonuses. As darth.crevette said regen bonus in Blanc's Healing formation is great. That's basically what I try to use in most jrpgs, I find some AutoRegen ability and equip it on all characters as permanent one.
