Split video without re-encoding

Is there a way to split a video without re-rendering it?

you can turn OFF Re-sampling but i think it will re-render anyway .
Based on the speed it renders at , i can only say that it must be re-rendering .

Consider , Hauppauge Capture utility . with that it will cut\split HDMI recorded clips .
and it reads thru to make a new file . That is as fast as it gets without
re-rendering . Vegas Never goes that fast , thus i think Vegas is rendering Splits .
