Thank you, wishing you both a great weekend too! :)
aha, we are Indie, we have a very short rest time, every day is battle of survive
In the meanwhile ingame..... https://imgur.com/a/OtTjErp
Haha. I'm saying nothing
oh my god ))) nice.....also can't say nothing, maybe will try to kill somebody from gemdev team ahahaha
It seems that everytime you mouse over the pyrobomb debuff while under the effect of scroll of combustion it will re-apply the multiplier making the numbers scale exponentially, at first I thought this was simple a visual error but it seems the damage is actually aplied upon detonation.
It seems 1.6 Billion is the cap though and the game froze when I tried to detonate it. pressumably due to interger overflow.
Its totally functional if you dont push it to far and detonate it at a modest 100 million damage however.
That you for finding the root of the insane damage multiplier! We'll be able to fix it much faster :)
What do you mean fix it??!!! I thought it was a feature :P
For about 2-3 days, sure, it's a damn good damage combo :D
Aww shucks, I guess I'll enjoy my billion damage while it lasts.
Edit: Is scroll of combustion supposed to interact at all with the explosion part of pyrobomb by design?
I would venture a guess no, more to be confirmed by gamedesigners soon, but it clearly is aimed at direct damage. Pyrobombs is the first instance of being able to "update" periodic damage, and likely the game logic doesn't filter appropriately the new class of damage, just thinking out loud.
It's a good point though, should other cards affect and increase Pyrobombs? We'll discuss it :)
It's worth noting that only the final explosion part is effected by the damage scaling and the standard damage ticks remain uneffected.
Aha! That's one more precise observation, thank you, the detonator is a separate class.
With your and pathfinder's help we've been able to pin the bugs to the wall much faster :)
I've played on the last difficulty, the progress was quite smooth. Smoother than I've expected atleast. It is funny that this new archetype basicly has the answer to all game mechanics almost. Not sure if it is good or bad yet.
Here you are some feedback to brainstorm if you please:
- It is very hard to sustain 2+ enemies, engame sustain is lacking. I mean 45 damage per turn is a challenge unless you have CERTAIN TALENTS AND CARDS UNLOCKED WITH REWARD POINTS. COUGH. COUGH.
- Pyromaniac card. Even if you pay me real money, I will not stun myself unless something really impressive happens. REALLY
- Stun bomb. It is quite strong, yet sometimes you have 3 bombs ready to detonate.
If you ask me, I'd rather see this card to stun enemy immediatly, apply 1 bomb and consume/detonate 1 bomb or smth.
- Pyrobomb aura is a common card, tho 1 health is not enough. Make it rare and increase the healing amount. You don't want to put too much (tr)ash in your deck.
And rename it . Pyrobomb aura. Cmon guys. "Scroll of explosions". Or even better: "Joy of Explosions". Here you are, Bob Ross reference for the memes. Feel free to hire me.
- Screenshake effect needs some work. I suggest it is a placeholder or smth.
Still, like with the burn decks, I felt that I've lacked one BIG CARD which can be used 1 time per battle for an extremely powerfull effect. Similar to Incineration but actually playable.
So you either:
- give me powerful trigger effect, so I can destroy 1 small enemy in the first few turns. Especially in the last chapters.
- or make attribute system more accessible and impactful. Improve resource trading rates, drop rates, whatever.
Also, the fact that Strength affects only Strike card - sucks. Too many dump stats, mechanics etc.
