Feeling fairly defeated by the secrets...
I can get through half of the game with the un-upgraded Ponos and a few rings. It takes a really long time to kill things and yet that's less painful than having gone through every nook and cranny to find the Ponos pieces and other collectibles.

I keep reading about secret rituals and all sorts of stuff, but I have no idea where these are even mentioned in game or where to even start. I love this game, but I'm starting to feel fairly defeated by the obscure stuff in it - can I get some minor or major hints please?

Also, are the last 2 weapons unlocked from rites?

So the good ending is meant to be a bit of a crazy easter egg hunt, the first 1-4 Ponos pieces are fairly easy to find and 5 and 6 are much harder like you said - so I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Artefact 1 - a hallway nook in Orphic Temple

Artefact 2 - a pile of bodies in the Nekromanteion

Artefact 3 - behind a mirror in the Lair of the Beholder

Artefact 4 - a dead end tunnel in Ophion's Labyrinth

Artefact 5 - jump onto a statue of Cerberus in a small room in the Trajan Palace and have a really thorough look around, look a bit higher than normal

Artefact 6 - find a beach far, far away from the spawn point in the Thalassian Fissure

To achieve a truly Orphic Run, find Hipparchia in Pantheon and listen to what she says. Do not use any items, consumables, rings, crowns or weapons that you have bought, even the optional Orphic Rites are not truly Orphic because they are administered by the Priestess (money is exchanged, breaking the ascetic vow).

In short, at the very beginning of the game you have everything you need to achieve the good ending (try equipping the Saltpetre Jar, it was given to you for free).

Another tip: you can see if you are ready and valid for a good ending run if your skull UI element is glowing a healthy blue green.

Your UI status skull does not need to be a healthy blue green to find the shards. It just needs to be blue green when you decide to do a good ending run.

Finally, at the end of each Orphic Rite, you should unlock a weapon. Read the Codex entry for each Rite to figure out where to go. If you are looking for the Kantharos of Epiphany, head back to the Cerberus statue in the small room in The Trajan Palace.

If you are looking for Apollo's Bow, find a secret door in the Lair of the Beholder.

If you are looking for a Scythe, find a secret passageway in the largest interior building in the Thalassian Fissure.

So that's quite comprehensive and spoiler-ish, but I'd rather you were having fun and not spending too many hours scouring every nook and cranny so I hope that's helpful and not *too* much information.

Same here, I am still missing Artifact number 5 in the list, but i got the one in the temple, so I'm not sure which one it is. Are artifacts 2 and 4 in the same map (the second one ?)
I can't find that dead end tunnel.

Hey Scrungus, my bad full disclosure I meant to write "dead end tunnel in Ophion's Labyrinth". That's what happens to me when I write late at night. My apologies once again, I hope this helps you find the piece.

You should be able to find the dead end tunnel in Ophion's Labyrinth, I erroneously typed Nekromanteion again so that's my bad. Let me know if that helps and I'll happily give more hints if you need.

I guess im confused by the numbering of the artefacts in your hints. Im missing the 5th one in the codex but I already have the Trajan one. I also already have the Thalassian fissure one so im missing one of the "easy" four but have no idea which one. Ive broken every mirror in the Lair, and scoured every corner of the Temple and Nekromanteion. pls help

Hey there! Have you tried finding a dead end tunnel in Ophion's Labyrinth? At a four-way junction near the exit path out of the labyrinth is another passage which turns right into a tunnel.

Let me know if that doesn't help or if you've already got that one. Cheers!

Btw, The Beholder place- by that you mean the Tutorial boss fight, Correct?

Also, if you're trying for an Orphic win, but you're partied with someone whose not- do they screw you over, or do you get seperate endings?

Hey Arlyeo, indeed, the location of the first Bossfight against the Kathorao is the Lair of the Beholder.

Everyone in your party has to be gunning for an Orphic win, or you'll all get the bad ending again.

Hey Arlyeo, indeed, the location of the first Bossfight against the Kathorao is the Lair of the Beholder.

Everyone in your party has to be gunning for an Orphic win, or you'll all get the bad ending again.

Heck. That's- a little annoying if someone forgets to take off a ring or something. I suppose you'd have to scrutinize hard to make sure they all have stuff off- so I imagine it's probably... 'easier' to get it on your own. Maybe.

Ok, I give up. Where do I find the Talos skin? I've searched Hephaestus' Foundry high and low, and that place is way too big. I'm assuming it's only available on the route where you actually build Talos.

Also, is there a way to open the golden door in the Temple of Ur? I know there's something behind it, because I've seen enemies spawn on the other side and poke their heads through.

Mhh, how exactly does the Hipparchia's Labour achievement work? I have all the artefacts, all rites, etc. but nothing happened.

Hey there! If you collected all 6 artefacts, did you return to Hipparchia in Pantheon and present them to her?

I didn't even know there was another NPC. Found her and got the sword, thank you.

Artefact 3 - behind a mirror in the Lair of the Beholder

I am not sure why this isn't unlocking in my codex. I am pretty sure I found this my first time in the lair as it glows from behind the mirror and is easily seen. I have also gone back to the lair and destroyed every mirror both before and after the boss but there is no fragment.

Hey there Phatnut40, have you tried looking for a dead-end tunnel in Ophion's Labyrinth? The pieces aren't in sequential order in the levels. Let me know if that doesn't help and we'll try and find the missing piece!

EDIT: I just checked in-game and you might want to look around in the Trajan Palace. Have a look at some columns near a certain statue of Cerberus!
