Just in case anyone was wondering, the remaining offline modes will be Local Match, Training/Tee-Off, and Creating Courses (courses will not be able to be published).

With the servers going offline in a year or so, and career mode requiring an internet connection for no reason, we won't be able to play the game anymore.
Does anyone know of a way to trick the game into thinking it's online?

This is most unethical of them to withdraw a game after just 4 years and charging players a bomb, and PGA Tour 2K23 doesn't even work properly. PGAT 2K21 is (was) the best single player golf game out there. Sad...

When you start the game now there's a pop up about the server shutting down, and then another one immediately after that tries to get you to buy in game currency! It's ridicules.

This discussion shows you just how unethical they are! I've been seeing the pop up where they try to sell you PGAT 2K23 at a discount, but it sends you to the Steam page of the game where it's listed at full price.

I don't understand - why sabotage the current one? Just so that people buy the new one? A few years down they will sabotage the new one so people buy yet another new edition. It's daylight robbery.

Question for the devs/publishers - 2K21 won't be playable after October 2025

Thank you for sabotaging what was (still is before its demise) an excellent single player golf game for PC.

Assuming we buy the buggy and unoptimized PGA Tour 2K23 either on discount or at full price, what is the guarantee that it won't be sabotaged for another "new" game? Afterall, it's already two years old.

Yuuuup! I uninstalled the game again. Back to the PS2 and 3 for playable golf games.

I guess this is going to be the norm with these developers and all games. If people continue to play a game for 5 to 10 years because they happen to really love the game, the company can't make any money that way. The bozos who make Battlefield 3 just recently shut down their server to that game after 13 years of people still playing it. Now we can't play that game at all, not even the Campaign part of the game. Pure greed is what we are seeing. Luckily, my Madden 19 is still working after they shut down their server to that game. I refuse to buy the next Madden.

Yup. This was the one EA golf game I bought recently, and it'd not even playable next year. Trash.

If that's the case, as much as I like golf, they won't be getting any more of my money. I'm sure the new edition will follow suit with so many other newer games with the focus on squeezing cash from the player base and little focus on content, play-ability or bugs. >smh<


Edit: Erased and hidden. soon to be forgotten. I can get all the video golf I want from WGT , to spite all of its drawbacks.
