You kind of already answered your own question.
Shots over 150 yards you're looking at playing upwards of double for the wind, just like you suspected. But, it's usually somewhere between 1.5 and 2, and favors the higher adjustment with higher lofted shots; and this also applies to crosswinds.
However, once you get up do the Woods and Driver the wind doesn't play quite that much, probably closer to 1/1, if not a bit more depending on the chosen trajectory of your shot.
A trick that you can try when practicing is to turn on all of the game assists, which are provided on the easier difficulty settings... because I believe it auto adjusts for the wind and lie. Then you can zoom in and take note of how far the game caddie adjusted for you. If the lie was flat, then you will know exactly how much was adjusted for wind.
