Oh! Yea I am using a controller so I guess we shall see here :) Gave me a little hope back lol
It did help me a bit! I am hitting it right down the line for the past hour 90% of the time.
Which game? I am finding it a struggle to find a good golf game that is still populated on pc. I have golf club 2 and 1 but rip to those.
The game is exponentially more fun with swing timing turned off.
Not to mention the simple fact that it is a completely unrealistic mechanic. Every golfers swing speed is different period. To clamp every "perfect" shot to some identical and yet still somehow arbitrary swing timing is nonsense.
But whatever, you put it in the game and some people will like this goofy mechanic, so just allow pro difficulty settings with the option to turn off swing timing.
These are some of my concerns with the mechanic in general as well. Plus a shot really doesn't slice or hook based on speed, it's all dependent on getting the club face closed. The down swing speed should alter distance, the left/right action should dictate a hook or slice.
100% agree.
Not only does it kill so much of the enjoyment of the game but then insults you with how much the mechanic doesn't make much sense either.
Any way you slice it, my interest is fading by the day. Communication from the devs is nonexistent from what I've seen so far. The online is embarrassingly bare bones and also straight up broken, just like the swing timing mechanic. Dude ran an auto hotkey script that should’ve registered perfect shots each time, and it didn’t.
I know what you are saying Mark, the new controllers follow through speed is too slow, not a fine adjustment but full right turn, even if you push through 50 times faster than normal, too slow. Impossible to hook left or go straight at any speed. I have seen this with a Logitech F310, Its like you need a response time modification to that Axis. The only place i can see you can perhaps do this is in the guide attached. Hopefully it works
