Swing speed is always slow. Can't figure out how to increase swing speed. Any suggestions?

I take swing after swing on the range and in game play and can't seem to have my swing speed register anything but Slow. Any suggestions on how to speed it up?

The game is exponentially more fun with swing timing turned off.

Not to mention the simple fact that it is a completely unrealistic mechanic. Every golfers swing speed is different period. To clamp every "perfect" shot to some identical and yet still somehow arbitrary swing timing is nonsense.

But whatever, you put it in the game and some people will like this goofy mechanic, so just allow pro difficulty settings with the option to turn off swing timing.

I found a solution, while upping windows mouse cursor speed works great it makes it damn hard to control the mouse. I ended up maxing swing sensitivity in game, and setting my mouse to 8500 dpi to hit a comfortable swing speed and mouse distance where I am not flinging the mouse around. The base game is configured for hyper twitch people that burn their mouse feet I think (or console and not very adapted for pc). Controller though was simple as heck for me to hit it dead on. Oh and swing calibration seems to be very narrow in range for what it can change.

Furley, I had the same issue with PGA Tour 2K21 & the prior version (TCG 2019). I couldn't hit it left EVER. Depending on the difficulty setting, I was either too slow or barely got into the acceptable range on the slow side. I spent hours going through the calibration and numerous mouse setting tweaks. I finally bought an XBOX controller for $25 from Walmart that plugs into the USB port on my PC. Works like a champ! I suspect the root cause why I couldn't get my mouse to work is that it's an older PC. Good luck.

100% agree.

Not only does it kill so much of the enjoyment of the game but then insults you with how much the mechanic doesn't make much sense either.

Any way you slice it, my interest is fading by the day. Communication from the devs is nonexistent from what I've seen so far. The online is embarrassingly bare bones and also straight up broken, just like the swing timing mechanic. Dude ran an auto hotkey script that should’ve registered perfect shots each time, and it didn’t.

I know what you are saying Mark, the new controllers follow through speed is too slow, not a fine adjustment but full right turn, even if you push through 50 times faster than normal, too slow. Impossible to hook left or go straight at any speed. I have seen this with a Logitech F310, Its like you need a response time modification to that Axis. The only place i can see you can perhaps do this is in the guide attached. Hopefully it works

the solution to your slow swing issue with your new controller. Right click on the game in you library/Manage then controller options. Click on the right thumb (assuming that's the one you use to swing) down to additional settings, then stick response, change to custom, just below that move the custom response up to say 0.850, its a bit more than the preset aggressive setting and a lot more than the default curve setting. If you are still slicing, go up, if you start hooking, come down
