Transfer MyPlayer Between Computers

Is it possible to transfer your MyPlayer to another computer? I have 2 in my house. When I started PGA 2k21 on my 2nd computer it had me start over with creating MyPlayer. I am using the same Steam accounts and have tried creating the 2k account as well.

Does this game not support cloud saves?

I have this game installed on my other computer (bedroom), and just installed on my main computer. No progress from what I played last night has carried over to my main PC.

I started on my desktop and went to play on my laptop and its making me start all over. Is there no cloud save data for this game?

Nope. Absolutely horrendous. I mean almost every rink-a-dink game on steam has cloud sync but not one published by 2K? really?

I can't even figure out which save file number this game is either so I can't even transfer saves with a USB.

Where are the local saves located?

No cloud sync so those of us with more than 1 computer need to manually transfer save files if wanting to continue a career. Problem is I can't find any local save files anywhere. There isn't a folder in the usual steam spot steam/steam/userdata. There isnt a folder in documents. There isn't a hidden folder in appdata. Honestly I have looked everywhere and cannot find. I know that the game won't save if you lose internet connection and I am starting to wonder if this game only uses cloud saves. If so thats a huge huge mistake for many reasons but on top of that, to do it that way and not have cloud sync is extremely short sighted. I know lots of people that game on a laptop and desktop.

Anyone know if there is a local save data location that I can't find?

I think I found it:

Users>"your username">AppData>LocalLow>2K>PGA TOUR 2K21

Inside that directory is a "Common" folder which I think has your MyPlayer appearance data file and a "Tour" folder which is where I think your career save is. I haven't had a chance to test it yet though.

NO career cloud sync?

i have the game installed on 2 computers, but i cannot sync my career between the 2 computers? It does seem to sync my player level, handicap, and money, but not my actually character either. (i had to remake my character on the second computer). Are we going to get steam cloud sync soon????

XP and shop purchases are stored in the cloud but everything else is local on PC. I couldn’t find the local save files when I transferred from one PC to the next but my level progress, money, and purchased items from the shop were synced.

You have to use the steam cloud to do that. if you have the game installed on another computer and login to steam with your account and it is linked to the cloud it should allow you to use that same character i would think. If not you can always go into your steam folder and if your on a network just copy over the folder for the game and the files with your character in it should be there.

If you are wanting to just transfer your bag and clothing , the last version had the files in profiles folder in the app data folder, copy paste

I got good news and bad news

I found the save file location it's in users/appdata/locallow/2k/pga2k21

I transferred the data on USB and it worked fine.

Heres the bad news. If you do this, you have to keep doing it or your profile wont match the save and your career data will become corrupt.

As far as the guy who mentioned about saving to cloud. There is no cloud save function for this game. Its bananas that they chose to not include that feature.

Like I said above, the game only saves xp, money, and purchased items to the cloud. The rest of your save is stored locally and there is no linking to the cloud. Even if there were cloud saves for this game they wouldn't be in the AppData folder, proving that storing this data in the cloud was never in the design.

MeAndBettyWhite is correct, the local save is in C:\Users\<yourname>\AppData\LocalLow\2K\ PGA TOUR 2K21. I have Common and Items folders, and a Player and Player-prev text file. Again, the money, xp, and purchases are stored in the cloud so the local save files aren't worth editing in Notepad to try and get easy money/xp.
