Game crashes in 2020

Per a post on reddit, the game crashes if you set the date to 2020 on your PC. The Fix doesn't work for me. I have literally bought every WWE 2k game since 2k14. This is the most disappointing game I’ve ever played.

Game crashing at main menu

Ok so it will start and play the game fine when doing exhibition matches but when i try to do anything else such as 2k originals or myplayer it crashes to the desktop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. It seems anyting that tries to connect to the internet makes the game crash even when my pc isnt online. My specs are i5 6600k rtx 2060 super 16gb ram windows 10 pro so i should have no problems running it. I knew i shouldn't have bought this pos game but here we are lol. Any help would be nice.

mine too! i cant figure it out, i validated all steam files 3 times and now it wont work... community creations...originals...anything except exhibition matches causes a force close... didnt happen yesterday....

even for just edit custom superstar it crashes. i just bought this thing because the last update was supposed to fix this.

Same, it was working a while ago, but now when trying to play MyPlayer it just crashes when I select it.

Having the same issue here. Exhibition is the only thing that works now on PC. They messed something up.

Same here, Yesterday everything went normal but now... If i hit "Play" and just do some exhibition matches everything is fine, if i select MyPlayer game just crashes to desk without error notice or anything.

The fix on console is to change your date. 2K20 ironically enough wasn't prepared for 2020.

Can confirm this for PC also.
Game was crashing like everywhere since 2020.
Setting the Date to 2019 helped.

MyPlayer crashes the game instantly

Whenever I pick MyPlayer, it just closes the game. Everything else works fine.

Seriously how did they manage to have a 2k20 game crashing because it is 2020 :(
Bought it a few days ago and was like "critics are a bit too harsh, it's not that bad, even though the career story makes no sense chronologically" and then this happens
