Chair actions

so i know you're able to do chair moves but i don't know how. You we're/are able to put a chair around someone's neck or around someone's ankle then dive onto it and you would do this when the prompt for an action came up but now i don't get any prompt. I was doing a post match attack after a match on natalya as charlotte and was going to put a chair around nattie's leg and then do a diving attack and injure it but when i went to press X it just did the generic grounded chair attack. There was no prompt for action yet the standing chair ddt works. Do you need to press a certain combination or is it only avaliable in certain matches?

You don't need a combination but you need the game to show you a prompt to press X (X for Dualshock 4, A for XBOX controller) for "action", or else you'll just do a regular chair strike. I tried it in a singles match and the prompt rarely popped up.
I'm not sure if you can use it in any match type though.

Yeah my current problem is i don't get the prompt which is rather upsetting. I know there's not gonna be any more updates so if this is a bug then I'm stuck with it but it just seems like something i don't know instead of being a bug.

Maybe you have to do enough damage with a chair earlier? I don't know for sure but it took me a lot of strikes to get the prompt to appear. But even then it was very difficult to appear, I was constantly going around the head and the legs but it was almost impossible to do an action.
