i think ive misjudged how popular this game is , ive brought it to just play online , and there are no lobbies ? is this game really that dead ?

I dont have the game, but I saw it in big discount so I thought let me check how bad it really is. I read for 2k19 there are around 1300 mods and for 2k20 3 mods, so thats says a lot. I think ppl gave up on the game in this state and just wait for the next one 2k21 and till than they play 2k19, but thats what I think is going on.

You should have checked out reviews for the game first. It's been panned by both professional critics and players. You'll have a hard time finding a single review that's generally positive. That alone should be an indication that there are no people sticking around for the online.

Besides, WWE games on the PC don't really have healthy online communities that last more than a few months. Even the good ones like 2016 had the online die real fast. Most people only take advantage of the CAWs. It's not really the kind of game that lends itself well to online PVP.

for some reason in my head i thought it be like fifa lmao people just play it cuz its new till the next one comes out rinse and repeat , ah well to be honest ive had no issues with it upto now ! think it runs and plays quite well

Fair enough, lol. Unfortunately, pro-wrestling does not have as broad an audience as soccer. And the WWE 2K games also don't have the same aggressive microtransaction model as the FIFA games (they started trying in 2k19, but it didn't stick), so there was no way it was going to attract and retain the same kind of audience as 2k's fifa games. :)

Been saying for years wwe games on pc should at least be made for pc built from the ground up not just some cheap ass port, PC has the ability for lobbies for e.g so players can host matches and can be searched for in a lobby browser, but they never bothered with that in any 2k game to date. So that's in my view the prime reason wwe games on pc have crap mp populations. As others have said though 2k20 is really the worse wrestling game of all time, many reviews from its initial release panned it as a terrible game, the steam store page states quite clearly mostly negative reviews, even on sale this game ain't worth the £10, i refunded mine straight away crashed the first time i tried a match. Until they stop being lazy devs and actually make something innovative i would steer clear of wwe games made by 2k even going into the future. The last 6 games have all been copy and paste games with some minor improvements or even breaking things that did work. Better to wait until wwe themselves have had enough and give the license to a better company

One tip i can share mate is to check out some of the discussion boards, wwe2k19 still has online functionality and if you add people directly on steam or join a steam group you will find people to play with or a quick search on google for wwe2k19 discords is another great way and you make some good friends along the way :) Hope this helps

you must be psycho sid for buying this game. Unfortunately I did also lol...good luck finding someone who will put up with the 3,000,000,000,000,000 crashes an hour just to try and have a match.

HAHA yea to be honest i was doing really well , at one point even thought wow they must of fixed it or i got lucky as i aint had many crashes , oh how wrong was i thought ill have a crack at the story mode or what ever its called and maaaaaaan what a crash fest !! , that just seem to set it of haha

To be fair... on PC nearly every WWE 2K game was dead online after a few weeks, no matter if it's 2k15, 2k16, 2k17, 2k18, 2k19 or 2k20. You should have never bought any wwe game for this purpose on pc... if you want to play online, console is the way to go. The 2k19 servers for the pc version are still running, BUT... they aren't exactly full.

And for the quality... they actually HAVE fixed a lot of things. If you play now, you play the best 2k20 version there ever will be... the issue is just, that there is still enough stuff which would have needed patches, but they just don't care. They not even trying... they just skip a year, hope that everyone has forgotten what happened with 2k20 and then try to sell you their next game.

TBH... 2k20 runs quite good for me now, I didn't crash anymore since one of the last few patches and I rarely see any bigger bug or glitch anymore. However, I have still paid 60 bucks for a game that isn't better in any way than it's predecessor and in quite a few points even worse.

I got the game on sale and I am lad I did the price tag they have is to steep for a game as buggy as this and I have to say since 2k16 these games have went downhill. I am happy that they are not releasing a 2k21 and I won't be buying the new game WWE is releasing until they get a new company to make the game 2k games has run this into the ground

Bought the game on sale. I had my first onlne match. Some people are playing. Lowering the graphic settings helped.

So i think this was worth it imo if you get in on sale.
