Blueprints?
Do you only get these at the checkpoint missions or whats the deal? I spent 10 days in the areas before the docks checkpoint and didn't find a single one, now I can make barbed wire..
From what I've observed there is no benefit to actually looting beyond getting your weapons and gear from say the next level, ammo isn't an issue, was maxed on both bandages and molotovs but yeah not a single blueprint found... Feels like the loot needs to be a bit more rewarding in this aspect cause I found myself at one point just running straight past everything, gun stores? nah dont need ammo, protect medic? nah you on your own, i got bandages...

Hi Ricktor!

Blueprints can be found in any high-value (orange or purple) loot container, so you can find new blueprints and crafting recipes all throughout the game.

However, certain recipes & blueprints will only drop when you have reached a minimum distance to safety.

Opened dozens of them, multiple air drop missions, even the ones want dna sample so I'm not sure what containers you're referring to, but still nothing.

Hi Ricktor!

If you have collected all the available blueprints/recipes for your current progress towards safety then you will not see any new ones until you travel further.

Thanks!

Wow... :steamfacepalm: The feeling of talking to just expel air... "If you've collected all the blueprints"

I don't understand what more can be said here.

Blueprints / Weapons / Armor are all tied to which tier / zone you are in.
Open orange and purple dots loot to get potential upgrades.

If you aren't getting any upgrades or blueprints, keep moving.
You are either not exploring enough, or you've gotten everything available and need to push deeper to unlock better tier loot. Or you're unlucky. It's a rogue-like(sorta), that happens sometimes.

The docks are are pretty early in the game. There aren't that many blueprints and they are spread out a bit though the zones.

Yes not exploring enough, all my items were of the maxed level for the area as i was no longer finding anything above that tier, but not ONE blueprint, sorry if Im to spend 10 hours in one zone then they need to re-balance the loot system because the zones are FAR to minimal to be of any real content to explore "same 4 hourses, same graveyard etc etc etc.... I made it all the way to the canal "good level design btw, someone needs a smack for that one" and again only blueprint found over all the buildings looted and events completed was the barbwire barricade at the docks checkpoint. And no, that isn't rouge-like, ive got plenty in that genre and the loot is still balanced and viable, after the canal zone the weak barbwire and wooden barricades no longer had basically any effect on the enemies at night and were a waste of time to even build. Was better off running and gunning in the night.

I said my part, take it or leave it, im done. Dev walked around the op with something completely not of the subject in the second statement which leads me to believe cookie cutter responses. Im fairly aware that loot and unlocks would reset on a new run, and that wasn't what was asked for... :steamfacepalm:

So go ahead and lock this if you want, not following it anymore.

I don't get why you're ignoring the actual blatant info that people are telling you when you said it yourself that the gear you have is maxed out for the current area and that should be correlated to a blueprint dropping for you.

Like the point of the game is to keep moving onto the next area to progress for more gear and more materials. You're pretty much setting up a stationary fort and hoarding materials similar to the npcs you'll eventually encounter. From a game designer perspective, if you were handed such easy fortified structures, why move on when you can stay in zone 1 and use up the mats and migrate when it's fitting for you. That would be stale and dull.

From experiencing already finishing the normal run and moving onto the nightmare difficulty, I can say that there are many more zones from where you currently are and that you're gonna have to travel to the minimal distance in order to unlock the next blueprint just like unlocking the next tier of weapons.

Also, just to clarify all the blueprints won't be found on the normal run and some are locked behind nightmare to encourage people to move onto the harder content.

Im not ignoring what was already said, and doesn't change the fact that the info provided is false, I'm not grinding an area for 10 hours, pretty simple, loot rolls "if they even exist" are crap or the loot pool is to small for the scale of the game. Because as stated the zone I'm in the ONLY 2 barricades that are unlocked are useless to even bother building. Dont like my opinion oh well for you I really dont care. As I said im done with this subject and already moved on, just as I have from the game.

I will admit the loot for a zone is kind of nebulous. It can be hard to tell if it's time to move on or not. If you miss something, like a blueprint that first appears in a certain zone, will it keep having a chance to spawn until you find it, even in later areas?
Trickjump Games  [developer] Jan 23, 2021 @ 7:15am
Yes, there is only a minimum Outbreak Level for each blueprint, so once you are past that then any high-value loot container can contain it.
ytszazu Jan 24, 2021 @ 6:50am
1) So far only 4 craft items (+3 barricades) for up to 5 miles.

2) Halfway through the game, the crafting/blueprints progression is kinda of lackluster to me, because can collect so many things but can craft so little.
