No 1920x1080???

When I go to video under options the resolutions max in the 1200's. I read this resolution problem is an old problem, so is it true the devs terminated all support for Prototype due to how old the title is?

I was able to get it to run in 1920x1080, by doing the following:
I added "windowed" without quotes to the launch options, ran the game, I was able to change the resolution to 1920x1080, saved the setting, then exited. Removed the windowed from the launch options and voila, game now runs in 1920x1080.

I tryed that indeed it went for the full hd setting but after i saved the settings and re started the game it went back to the hd version! Crazy

Not all people get the option to set at 1080p like me and you.

I've read that the game doesn't detect more than 1-1.5GB of Video memory properly, so it limits your choices. This happened to me also, but I found a replacement DLL for the prototypeenginef.dll that sets the resolution to be whatever your desktop resolution normally is. In my case, this allowed me to play the game at 1920x1200 without any issues at all.

I've used the .dll myself. Not a virus or anything.

If you want, you can hex edit the game yourself :) But yes, it's perfectly safe to use.

Same problem here, doesn't allow full hd (1920x1080) resolution. Tried in windowed mode, then I can set the res. to 1920x1080 but when I start the game fullscreen it reverts back to low resolution and there is no chance in options to get it higher.
And I wouldn't like to risk some unknown ".dll" from the net. Maybe that "Prototype
Resolution Editor".

Found a possible way - it didn't work for me though - it does not need any downloads. Only problem with it: windows cursor may stay on screen (maybe using a gamepad help about that).

"First go to games shortcut then open its properties.

Then add the target line "windowed".
(no - or whatsoever,just space and windowed.)
Like this : "C:Program FilesActivisionPrototypeprototypef.exe" windowed

Start the game windowed.

Go to your game's video settings and select the resolution or aa
level you want.

Exit the game.

Right click the shortcut and select properties again.

See,there is a value called run.Make it "Maximized" and click Apply.
