Prototrype Volume Fix?

Has anny one a Prototype Volume Fix?
I have already changed the audio sampling frequency, but the Volume still is to low.
(I have set my system volume higher now, but that is a problem if i start annithing else, even windows loggin volume now is to high!)

this is a problem for me as well, the sound was never this low when I had the game installed several months ago but when i resintalled it today it is very quiet

Does it sound a but distorted? Or really fast speaking?
If thats the problem, i got the answer for you!

Go to your Soundcard and look up your Format. The highest format you can use for Prototype is: 24bits, 44100 Hz.

Like i said in the question, i already set the sampling frequency.
(I have given the same hint in the thread [Need Fixes For Various Bugs])
But it might help the others who found this thread.

But sampling frequency is a whole different thing then sound format ;) Next time, describe what you did more exact.

soon as i turned off the the unwanted HID's off it solved all my problems in the game.

I already know the page tjis discussion leads to [http://www.gamespot.com/prototype/forum/all-prototype-sound-issues-fixed-here-50201553/] . I have tryed that, and i have the sample rate info from there (i googled it). But the "Sound Patch" link is dead.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. There's barely any volume. No cracking or other effects, but I can't be too sure about that because the volume is too low everywhere in the game. The sound patch link is dead, and I can't find it anywhere else.

If you follow the guide, the file prototypef.exe will be patched. If you want to revert the changes, you can just verify the cache in Steam or you could backup the file before patching.
