I can't select powers.

Played the game up until the final boss and gave up for a few months because of it's difficulty. Now that I'm back in the game, the powers won't select. I cant disguise, can't select the powers. the wheel shows up, but when I select something nothing happens. any ideas?

I'm sure I might have, but this was three years ago. For some reason I can't even boot the game up any more.
