UNPLAYABLE IN 2018! DO NOT BUY!!!

I bought this game for $4.99 during the Steam Summer Sale of 2018 and it is a complete and utter catastrophe! The resolution won't go any higher than 1280x800 and the game runs at 15 FPS! I have a GTX 1060 with an i7 4790 and every other game from 2009 or that I've played on PC (Left 4 Dead 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Borderlands, Assassin's Creed II) work just fine.

This game seems to be abandonded with no hopes of ever being patched. And from what I hear, Prototype 2 doesn't work either and has even more negative reviews than this game. So just avoid this series. Save your $5 and buy something else that actually works!

Same here. the game is in 5FPS and the resolution is stuck at 1280x800. Can't even go to the Main Menu when Launched.

Found a patch to get the resolution up to a livable level.. but still having the problem with the fps, it hovers between 20-22 fps on a 980ti. And this is on my "old" computer, on my ryzen computer the game gets as far as the menu but crashes to desktop as soon as I try to start the game proper. Edit: acording to another thread the problem occour when you have a cpu with more than 4 cores.

I fixed my game's FPS through "Device Manager>PCname>Human Interface Device> and disabled HID-compliant consumer control. (The first one) Now my game runs more than 60FPS with the Resolution Fix.

My intel was 550 but i got 60 fps 1920 i guess there is something wrong with your PC

hey mate i had the same issue with another game but not with this one, try navigating to the Nvidia Control Panel by right clicking the desktop, and go to 3D render settings, then you will have an option to control apps as you add programs and choosing their preferred GPU usage, basically check if the game is running from built in GPU, and choose the GPU you mainly use for gaming, needless to say that i had to update my GPU (1050) driver, and also if this didn't work try downloading direct x, and other nvidia/geforce control settings apps

The game runs really well for me and I didn't have to tweak any settings. My only problem is that the cinematics are too quiet. No freezing, no crashing, no low frame rate.

Game was running perfectly until I closed it and tried to start it up again. Crash.. crash.. crash.. crash.. Refund, tyvm.

Guys just go to your device manager and disable all devices which are named "HID compatible devices". Then you can play it. I am playin it at 1080p and it is running pretty good.

You can enable em later or just leave em disabled. I don't know what they are good for anyway. I left em off.

my guess is it might have something to do with nvidia cards, im sporting a radeon, and its running amazingly no bugs so far/ slow downs

I got the game working properly. This video helped me fix my issues. If anyone else is having issues, I recommend giving this video a watch.

Same, there are so many people who yell that 1st and 2nd game doesn't work for them, but both of them work just fine to me!

I had to ask for a refund when i bought it. The game was unplayable with a GTX 970. 20 Fps or less and no option to change the resolution to 1920x1080.
