how do I separate nehrim mod from oblivion?

I want to play base game oblivion with the generic quests and such but every time I launch the game it puts me into the nehrim world with it's modded mechanics. nehrim is fun yes, despite it absolutely ugly anti-system processor mechanics and the mod focusing on the devs hero-delusion.
I will play nehrim only when I feel like it and not have the mod stupidly spawn me in the intro cave with german VA's adn nehrim quests!

use the nehrim game launcher. you can switch between oblivion and nehrim. it uses a folder swtiching technique. once you switch it back to oblivion then you can launch oblivion from the steam library. or keep using the nehrim launcher

from the nehrim faq:
"If you want to play Oblivion again: Launch Nehrim on Steam first, a panel opens, here you can choose the 'Run Nehrim <> Oblivion' option. The now launched switcher tool lets you easily switch back and forth between Oblivion and Nehrim."

I guess you mean switching does not work. read the faq about how to install and how to switch

perhaps you do not have steam, oblivion and nehrim on the same drive.

have installed the game on win 10 and 11 and the switching works.

got it to work on my end; mod is just the launcher, not the startup, which is incredibly stupid. once clicked the launch nerhim option, use the oblivion game to start the mod. make sure your settings on oblivion match the settings on nerhim or there will be crashes that makes new vegas blush.
