So.. how do you level up Oracle?
Anyone figured it out yet?

Your oracle's level is determined by your total virtue. By levelling up the individual blessings, you gain virtue, a kind of "xp" for the oracle, which is required for the oracle level. By levelling the Oracle, you will also unlock milestones that improve the rewards for the rituals and also increase the "virtue effect". You obtain virtue by buying blessings and by opening oracle's gifts.
Oracle level 2 costs 1200 virtue. Each subsequent level then costs 60 virtue more than the previous one.

This may be a dumb question, but what is the point in levels, if they are not linked 1:1 to milestones? I reached Oracle Level 3. What did I get from it?
Would it not be easier to match those two directly and scrap any oracle levels inbetween?

That is the gameplay concept, we have the same concept with the
- Guild perks (all 3 guild levels)
- Campaign level/perks (all 5 stars)
- Personal tree of life
- Oracle etc...
But it doesn't mean that the levels/stars in between don't give you an advantage, oracle and guild levels give you an advantage by levelling the individual upgrades already, with the stars it's the rewards from every star.

Okay, I haven't paid that much attention to the trees in the last year (guild tree is handled by the guild leader, and ever since war machines were introduced, I lack the seals for the personal tree), so I may have forgotten about that. Campaign levels feel to me like the mentioned improvement for each level, with the stars being more of a progress bar (so rather mirroring the virtue number in oracle than its level).
Visually the oracle experience display reminds the closest of tavern and map mission levels, each of which grants benefits at every level up. So having "empty" levels slotted in there, and possibly the majority of them at later stages, can make them feel kind of confusing and pointless. Could as well have established virtue benchmarks for the unlocks and upgrades and skipped the oracle levels completely.
