Firestone: Server Connection Problems / Login or Loading Issues (when get stuck e.g. at 99%)

Please try this first:

• Restart the game (several times)
  Don't remain at the server connection screen for more than 1-2 minutes, but rather restart the game, even several times if necessary.
  
• Restart Steam
  
• Start the game only from your library, not from the taskbar or a shortcut.

When the server is down respectively all players are affected,
then please wait until the devs have had time to fix the problem.

If it didn't help try these steps:

• Clear Download Cache
  From your Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting “Steam -> Settings” from the top left client menu. In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab and you'll find the “Clear Download Cache” button at the bottom.
  
  
• UnityCrashHandler64.exe / UnityCrashHandler32.exe (a)
  C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Firestone \ Move the Unity crashhandle.exe to another folder/location.
  
• UnityCrashHandler64.exe / UnityCrashHandler32.exe (b)
  From Steam Library -> Manage -> Browse local files -> Move the Unity crashhandle.exe to another folder/location.
  
  
• Reinstall Steam
  if you want you can move your steam download folder "SteamLibrary / steamapps" to another folder and move it back again after the reinstallation.
  
  
• Repair Library Folder
  From your Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting -> Download -> Steam Library Folders -> click on the three dots "..." at the end of the folder and press the right mouse button -> Repair Library Folder
  
  
• Compatibility mode for Windows
  From Steam Library -> Manage -> Browse local files -> Right-click on Firestone.exe and select Properties -> Select Compatibility tab -> Under Compatibility mode, check Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 7 -> Under Settings and check the option labeled as Disable fullscreen optimizations
  
  
• Clear DNS Cache
  To clear the DNS cache on Microsoft Windows
  • Open a DOS command window. To do this, click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then press Enter.
    
  • At the command prompt, type the following command and then press Enter: ipconfig /flushdns
    
  • The DNS cache is now clear.
  or
  • Press "win+R" input "cmd" and enter, input "ipconfig /flushdns" then restart steam.
  
  The Google Chrome web browser maintains its own internal DNS cache.
  • Start Google Chrome.
    
  • In the address bar, type chrome://net-internals/#dns. Google Chrome displays a list of hosts in its internal DNS cache.
    
  • Click Clear host cache.
    
  • In the address bar, type chrome://net-internals/#sockets.
    
  • Click Close idle sockets, and then click Flush socket pools.
  
  
• VPN/Proxy
  Try to connect via a VPN/Proxy
  
  
• Change DNS (Windows)
  -> Go to the Control Panel.
  -> Click Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
  -> Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS.
  -> Select the Networking tab.
  -> Click Advanced and select the DNS tab.
  -> Click OK.
  -> Select Use the following DNS server addresses.
  
  
• Graphics mode Manage 3D settings
  Right-click on your desktop and select Nvidia Control Panel/AMD Radeon Settings -> 3D Settings -> Manage 3D settings -> In the upper-right corner, click Restore Defaults.
  
  
• And please also check this link and see if you get "Connection Succeed"

  If yes, it means that in principle a connection to the game server can be set up.

• Installation Error
  It's also possible that your antivirus program (Avast Antivirus or another Antivirus program) deletes Firestone.exe from the Steam folder and prevents Steam from downloading it again.
  Please deactivate your antivirus and see if it works.
  Try to set it as an exemption or to the whitelist of your AV program and report this as false positive
