Scoot mission bugged for me, can't complete.(figured it out)

When I clicked on town to do the mission, I got the rescue scoot. It gave me the end destination to go to. I watched a walkthrough on youtube, and it's supposed to take me to Scoot so I can escort him to the pen, instead of just starting me with the location of the pen. So I flew to where I saw Scoot on the video, and pressed x, and it looks like he's spawned way underground, then he disappeared.

I have done another mission for another town, then when I go back to the scoot mission, it's still telling me to go to the pen or whereever I put all those cow sheeps in.
(EDIT) I figured it out and I guess this is a good idea for anyone, lol.

When I quit the game to main menu, and continued, the problem I described above continued. When I quit the game, and relaunched it, I was spawned next to Scoot.
