Game does not recognize dedicated graphics card on laptop
Hi,

I have a Dell Inspiron 7567 laptop with a 1050 Ti graphics card.

I have set the options in the Nvidia panel and Windows for the game to use the dedicated graphics, but it still uses the integrated Intel graphics chip and when I open the options menu it says so at the top.

I reported the bug but there's still no resolution.

Has anyone had this issue and managed to fix it by themselves?

This is happening on most of laptops, and it's technically not a bug.

Laptops usually connect their screen onto the integrated gpu, which save power when running non-3D apps, as the dedicated gpu won't be needed.

When it comes to 3D apps like games, it indeed use the dedicated gpu for calculating, but as the dedicated gpu is not connecting to the screen, it needs the integrated gpu to bridge its result onto the screen.

In the game's view, the graphic is output by the integrated gpu to the screen so it thinks that the integrated gpu does all the work, but it actually not.

If all the work is actually done by the integrated gpu, you will have some glory 3 frames per second experience, lol.
