[PS5 Demo] Mostly postivie Opinion/Feedback
First and foremost... I haven't played the original.
I've played the remaster "Second Contact" for a bit, but that's it.
So yeah, beyond a beautiful world, I wasn't really interested in this game or the demo at all... but hey, it's a free demo, and I wanted to give it a chance.

The first annoyance was the timelimit (which makes sense when you open up the world) and the 2-playthrough limit per demo portion.
Anyway, started, messed around with the settings and tested the controls... just to motice a slight "Elex" influence... but everything was really smooth.

Tried out the weapons, wondered what the differences are... and noticed the customization.
I was like already sold, because I love the way it works in this game.
At the end of the combat demo, I had a pistol with a 5-way exploding shot which layed mines on impact while healing me per killed enemy.

I love that it isn't AAA quality, because it's all about fun... not 100% correct animations and what not.
I've played the "FF7 Rebirth" demo before... and hat to turn it off after yet another "Climb on the yellow marked rocks!" section.
I'm so done with games wasting my time with non-gameplay.

That kinda sums it up for that part, but here a bit more sorted:

Pros:
- gun customization
- movement in combat (dodging, air-dodging, hovering while aiming in the air... it feels so smooth)
- the world (after 500 worlds from "Square Enix" which all look like "Medieval Dynasty", it's so nice to see these beautiful colors and structures)
- the constant drops of stuff... kinda makes it feel like "Ratchet & Clank"
- this is a german thing... but thanks for bringing back "Manfred Lehmann", he is a joy for the ears

Cons:
- my main gripe was the aim sensitivity... or the smoothing to be precise
> when I aim my gun and move the camera in one direction, than let go of the "Aim" button, the camera flies all over the plays, cause the game still remembered that I pushed in the stick for a while
- when I open up the menu, the game takes like 2 seconds to load and I can only do stuff when the char also moves in said menu
- maybe it's a learning thing when you play long enough... but giving the potions outlandish names makes it hard at first glance what each potion does
> especially the color... am I on my healing item or the one that makes my air movement faster?

And yeah... that's kinda it.
I don't really care if the performance is a bit wonky... some of my favourite games are "Earth Defense Force" titles, so I'm not sensitive when it comes to this.

When it comes to things I want in a game, I really can't stress enough how much fun it was compared to "Rebirth"... like, I want a game that feels like a game.
And "A New Beginning" absolutely delivered! :)

EDIT: I remembered another negative point... ^^
- the camera when aiming is sometimes too close to the char
> Don't know if it has anything to do with the terrain or where I'm aiming, but at one fight against a nest, the camera was so close to just be inside my weapon
>> I know there is a FOV slider, but it's for the overall FOV and I think it's perfect as it is when exploring... only the aiming needs to be slightly adjusted or adjustable.

I really hope they add a frame cap to 30 as the game does not hit 60 at all most of the time on PS5 and Series X. Or try and get it to maintain 60 more.

The camera judder is horrible as the framerate fluctuates so much.

Again, it doesn't really affect me.
Like yeah, I would like to lock the game to 30fps in order to have even better visuals, but not cause the game felt too choppy to me.

No it is extremely choppy. I’ve been checking the fps and trying to use VRR but it hits mid 30s too much.

Again again... doesn't affect me since I'm not that sensible when it comes to the fps.

Thank you for your feedback, Billy Blaze!
With regards to the outlandish names, I think that problem will resolve itself in the main game. Keep in mind that the demo kind of drops you in the middle of things without much of explanation.

Yeah, I guess so.
After a while, I got used to it.
But the first time looking through the items and see all these potions with weird names where I actually had to read the descriptions.
But most of the time, the healing potions/plants are your best friends and I had no problems using them.
And as you said (or implied), it wiil be easier if you unlock/get this stuff piece by piece instead of having already a filled inventory.
