A 25 year old game had a better save system than this...

I never thought the save game system of the original Outcast was great. But at least you could actually save your game state. This current game acts like you have manual saves but it's just a fake. I have now lost game progress several times because the game decides some random situation is where it allows to save and others are not. Whole conversations and cutscenes just get repeated because it has specific autosave slots. Why even include a "manual save" system if it is all fake?

Yeah they should fix this, i agree, loving the game so far but i quit in a region and when i came back i was still in the twin ladies palace before i passed the first daoka, got me confused when the lady started blabbering on the intercom about something else hehehe, oh well.

ye its a pretty big off put to playing the game if i am gonna constantly lose progress.

only happens in the tutorial
i've probably now clocked in over 10 hours
beeing it manual saves or auto saves
past the tutorial the save works perfectly in every regard

Im not losing progress though, i just dont know where i will reappear when i log in again, but progress is there alright, quests and all.
