You mean to say he sounds better than the original? That's really your opinion and not a fact. I've heard both, but I think because you grew up with him as Bruce Willis it makes it sound right. I grew up in a country that doesn't dub the actors, and I'm firmly of the opinion that any dub and HDR always stands out. It always feels disconnected from the scene, so to me it can never sound as good as the original.
There are many examples where the German synchronization is better than the original. Of course, it also depends on the point of view. For German players, the German voice of Herr Lehmann would be great.
I heard both Bruce VA's and have to say, the OG bruce is better fit for it than our german one, althou he makes him sound badass 24/7, wich bruce realy isnt 24/7 in some movies.
Especiel in emotional scenes its lacking sadly. The infamous "We win Grace" was better done in english (Wich is rare) than in the German Dub. On the other hand "Your just a bunch of Cowboy's" was better in german realy. Stargate's Jack O'neil (wich slater is based on OBVIOUSLY (because badass, Jaffa slayer etc. (Yes i still refer to our advesaries in the first game as Goaul'd after all these years) thou its vice versa. He was waaaaay better in the german dub (Just compare the Baal scene in the gateroom where he blames it all on Tuna rather than him being lazy and having a plant problem, in german he sounds like he just ate exactly what he said)
))) :P
(JK - Not OCD related at all (or...?) - I make these counting mistakes also)
Slater..? Slade. I was put off for a second there. Haven't played this title in years basically.
Half or maybe entirely off-topic and unrealistic (for now, even tho possible so not really unrealistic) rambling:
There's so much happening with AI's now (DALL-E 2, Deepmind, OpenAI, MidJourney.. it's a plethora of them!), synthesizing amazing images most notably (look up "Two Minute Papers" on youtube for example). Possible with audio as well.
Probably a licensing / copyright issue if using a person's voice, plus ofc the cost-benefit thing. I guess it's not a very mainstream thing yet either (for all we know... I mean, deepfakes exists). Point is it's possible to syntesize it, and not sound robotic (ofc quality depends on so many factors).
(Heck, we may soon get the (VR) equivalent of Star Trek Holodeck, where all we say is "yeah I want a cool game with stargates, aliens and spaceships and a lone hero story thing going on" and it'll make a game on the fly. Maybe present a few alternatives and fine tune it a few iterations, and then "Enter when ready"! :) )
Es ist Torsten Münchow
Ich finde eine sehr gute Wahl (siehe Beispiel): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRzKOPZuljQ&t=6s
Echt ne tolle Wahl!
