Theres a decent variety of weapons, and they all have a nice weight to them.
The graphics and sound are very up to par, even for as old as the game is.
The time manipulating is pretty fun, and you can really use it willy-nilly to pull off some crazy ♥♥♥♥.
Not just slow-mo, but being able to stop it and pull the weapons right out of your enemies hands. Or throwing a grenade and watching them all fly away slllooowwwwwllyyy on fire.
..and its not just a gimmick here. You'll really need it in some spots in the game.
Sometimes theres just so many enemies and 'heavy' guys spraying bullets at you that theres no possible way to get past them without it.
I'd say overall its a good game, though.. I kinda feel like $15 should be the 'regular' price, and not just a sale.
If you're bored and itching for a new shooter that mixes things up a bit, i'd say go for it.
The SP in this game is great, even game's like Deus Ex-HR, Singularity, Red Faction-A, Metro-2033 & STALKER have been sold for 5$ & those are great titles.
I will get this when it's finally 5$
Didn't Fear have the slow time power during combat? I think I remember liking that cool effect.
Yeah, in FEAR though it's explained as the character having superhuman reflexes rather than actual time control.
Yeah, you got me there but it was awesome seeing the debris fly around in slow mo!!!
Storyline, graphics, and buttery smooth gameplay.
This game is great, but being almost 7 years old, $20 is too much to ask. I've been waiting for this to go on sale for a loooooong time, but no go. I think it's sad a block buster like Skyrim goes on sale for less than $8.00, just a couple years after it's release, but Timeshift, which wasn't near as popular, has only gone down to $20 after almost 7 years. Doesn't make any sense.
But if you have money to burn, definitely pick this game up, it's awesome.
I was there since day one and yes Crysis was suppose to be EA's new multiplayer succesor. But, it failed cause it did not have permanent stats like battlefield 2. So people never left battlefield 2 for crysis. Let me put it to you this way. If you preordered the game all you got was an APC for the multiplayer and I got it for that reason. So if the game wasn't so hipped up for the multiplayer why bother put that there? It was the first multiplayer game from it's era to have maps that big with night time and day time running. it was a BIG deal. I don't know how you don't know this.
The graphics are bit outdated as there are very little you can do to enhance them. I used some
This is the Timeshift thread (unless you are replying to someone else, therefore I apologize).
