Bugs and Feedback after couple 500+ pop cities
Gotten to over 500 population many different ways with huge army / econ. Wanted to share some
Feedbacks -
* Achivements please
* The beginning is way too slow if you are unlucky with survivors and drift woods.
* Late game all I ended up doing is constantly moving trying to find whales (rotten or fresh doesn't matter with a ton of medicines)
* Pirates are easy to fight once you have motor and couple towers. Line them up and in a straight line and let them hit you from one direction.
* Limiting resource gain is great. I have like 50 deep divers trying to get oil and without limiting resource gains I'd end up with millions of soil.
* Fish needs to be a bit more nourishing. Literally have to start next to driftwood to jump straight to whales and greenhouse if you don't want to rely on fish too much
* Storage needs to act as town center like for villager rotation. Only during the games (after figuring this out) i've put storages next to town center but other games where you design your city to have multiple "centers" they don't work as you'd expect
* It would be better to have sick villagers go to the medicine hut instead of having "doctors"
* Not enough non flame / firestarter buildings to separate them when you get to ~250 population so your city starts looking very ugly.
* Bridges don't provide enough speed boost to use them in your city. Only good for spacing out gathering stuff.
* It would be great to have some sort of building level up. For example, make the storage bigger by putting in more resources or something like that. With 500 population you have to have so many storage and more buildings == more motors == more oil == more deep divers == you never have everyone at the motor ready to go if you are matching 20 to 1 motor ratio.
* I wish I can control the bridge sizes to fill in some gaps in between the buildings
* Brewery only stores 70 beers so i need more but this is dumb i think it should store a lot more.
* When at full storage capacity i should be able to throw unnecessary materials. I have to go find a random trade post and dump all the garbage.
* Really think motors shouldn't need workers or they should be there the whole time and never leave
* Personally feel like Recycler and Forager balance is off; it does not collect enough garbage. Even with over 20 foragers i had 1 recycler going while tossing seaweed
* Should be able to use prisoners as workers. Also not sure if they are eating or not…
* When eating people it should tell me how much meat i got from how many bodies.
* Its hard to tell how much food you exactly need - so i always end up overproducing and having to stop all production to eat up all the bread i made.
* not sure if food in galley or brewer counts towards the storage value. Its hard to test this with a lot of things going in and out as well
* mists are stupidly annoying. Honestly dosent add much value to the game besides the bug where it constantly gets thicker and you're always just seeing white blur constantly.
* it would be great to have harpoon buildings attack pirates when they attack instead of only killing whales
* Maybe villages can auto pause the building when no resources
* It would be helpful to see building health when they are on fire
* Junk tower firing rate or the launch to land is way too slow.
* Would be cool to see a lot more cities. Rarely seeing cities and at high population they dont even stand a chance
* Towers should be able to attack pirate ships. I always kite them in a straight line but towers don't do anything until they land.
* should grant me some resources when i win against pirates.
* what does age of prosperity do exactly?
* 15 medicine per hut is way too low
* NEED MORE WHALES

Bugs:
* invasion: sometimes the guards bug and they don't destroy the building. When those happen, there are a lot of bugs such as your units going missing or battle never ending or the enemy all of sudden spawning guards
* broken maps: the white tiles, glitching waves, infinite sunken breweries, thickening mists at all levels are the most common ones ive seen so far
* broken villagers - when a lot of villagers die at once (either you shoot them accidentally with junk cannon or all gets sick or fights pirates but doesn't get captured) the game bugs and buildings stop working with status saying village dead. when you refill the population they don't go to work on dead villager's buildings. You have to restart the game for this to fix. Clicking resume or pause resume doesn't work.
* Not all beers are in the brewery.
* When you collect couple thousand resources and destroy all buildings except for storage some materials go missing. Tried this couple times to rebuild a big city into more organized city and it just doesn't work for some reason.
* Some buildings just randomly show efficiency sign even though they have 2 open surfaces. This gets annoying sometimes
* Some buildings just don't get resources they need even though I have a whole bunch of them
* i have yet to capture or eat trade post folks. They always run away even with over 100 guards
