Fails to run after launch
I just bought this game and every time I try to launch it it will not run. Is this a common problem? Is there a fix for it?

I uninstalled the game, restarted my comp, and reinstalled it. The game works now, I hope it works for you too :3

Had to unplug my second monitor for the game to work. Don't know why, but that seemed to do the trick.

you don't need to unplug the second monitor. you just need to turn it off at windows.

Need to do two things delete steam and get game razer game booster you can launch and play anygame without steam and dont have the the headaches that go along with it. Like he said run the game in lowest settings graphix wise and turn off all the antialiasing and what not. If you got crap comp and video card its not gonna run at all. It takes good cpu and graphics card. Run in window mode. Even with all the updates and fixs theres still alot wrong with this game. Next time they shouldnt be in such a rush to launch a bronken game. So you might have to reinstall Steam to get updates on your games now and then. Game razor is the ♥♥♥♥ it not only lets you play all your games from the game razor launch, it also got a game booster that shuts down unneeded processes while playing your game for better fps and game play. GOOD LUCK

2 options to fix this problem

1) disable your 2nd monitor through windows "screen resolution" menu

2) after you complete step 1 for the first time, you can choose to start the game in windowed mode aftwards.

Or hit Win-P and select "Computer Only". Win-P and "Extend" to put it back.

I don't have multiple monitors set up - this game gets to the main menu, then I select a ship, then click Play, and it just hangs there - music playing, but nothing else. I can't even kill the game because it has taken over my desktop. I have to kill it remotely. Anyone seen this?
