disable auto spell mana point allocation?
How does one disable the automatic assigning (and removal) of mana from spells (not conjuring)???

It is REALLY annoying to have to go in 8 or 9 times to turn off the same (or several) spells at the start of a run just to preserve mana for conjuring.

I haven't even figured out where it got turned on... (argh!)

Isn't that behavior part of the auto conjuring? It wasn't always like that. It was changed in an update not too long ago. But it is now automatically pulling mana from spells to use in conjuring and then putting the mana back where it came from after it gets regenerated.
...
Right?

only partially... or maybe me trying to stop it is messing it up?

Would be a lot easier to tell if this was visibly documented in the game instructions...

firslty, you can just right click the mana box at the top and it will pull back all mana allocated..

secondly, auto conjuring automatically takes the mana from spells as needed and then reassigns it back there when its refilled so i'm not sure how your even having this issue.

Well for one, I like to keep things balanced (attack and defence). This activity totally messes it up...

Also, I like to throw everything on to certain conjurings (eg Jadu Mantar) so they go faster. This system makes it hard to do so...

Needs an option on the spell tab to turn on/off (at least temporarily) so that we can make adjustments and not have to be fighting the auto assign. Of course, this then kinda encourages a way to set the default mana to use on each spell so that when you turn it back on, it gets assigned as you want it...

And i don't want to pull all the mana back - I want some of it to keep powering spells. Its just when I unassign some, and it suddenly gets assigned somewhere else it gets frustrating...

So...

A suggestion for the devs, if they see this topic, might be to add a "lock" button on the spells tab. Function when enabled = any mana assigned into spells cannot be pulled out by auto conjuring.

And a suggestion for you so long as that lock does not exist and so long as this still seems like an issue for you... Just disable auto conjuring? On the conjuring tab you can toggle off the "auto" at the top of each column or you go through and right click on specific conjurings to turn them off individually.

(You'll reach a point in the game eventually where this concern will seem trivial. Personally, I'm at [5e9 base mana cap / 64.6e6 base mana refill / 40.1e6 base mana power] and [5.6e15 total mana cap / 329.2e21 total mana refill / 493.6e21 total mana power]. Each time the mana refill bar completes (which takes 1.19 seconds) it's worth 329.5e21 mana. All conjurings pretty much complete instantly as soon as they get their mana assigned to them, and it takes hardly any time to regain the mana after it's used up by a conjuring level. I have all of my mana dumped into spells to protect it from town plaza prestiges, but honestly the amount of mana on the spells stopped being relevant a good long while ago. (Granted, I haven't yet done the challenge that replaces the spells with stronger / more expensive spells.) All of my spells are supercharged with mana beyond the point of having them all level at max speed. All of my spells actually build up a massive surplus of experience that can actually keep them leveling themselves for a while even if all of the mana is removed from them for a while. (Summon Dragon, for example, is at 30.1e42 exp banked with only 68.2e27 exp needed for the next level.))

The way it currently works is the last mana you assign to a spell is what it tries to put that spell to, conjuring can borrow the mana from spells for conjuring, however the way it reassigns stuff isn't great, I have plans to adjust that part so that it assigns by a ratio until it caps out the amount you wanted assigned. A toggle can be added to disable the auto spell part of things so that it doesn't interfere with assigning all mana to a slow conjure spell. We're getting pretty close to our next update which is honestly kind of massive (mostly due to the changes to the numbers to allow far larger numbers but the whole questing/arena system oni's been working on). So until that goes live the current behavior isn't likely to change.
