Because Steam is only one of the storefronts we support we generally try and have a single approach to mod downloads, usually something built into the game. That said, if there is enough demand we are not opposed to adding it as an alternative for Steam users.

The in-game mod downloads in FOG 2 work really nicely, being as convenient as Steam Workshop. The only thing is, you don't have much of a description of what the mod does unless you go over to the Slitherine forums.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I'm a huge fan of the Total War franchise and Paradox (even though i despise their policies). And this game promise me everything i ever dream of a strategy game. So I hope there will be tool to mod the campaign map, the units models and stats, because I'll fu**ing r*pe this game xD. The only reason I have never bought a FoG game before was because of the lack of campaign map. But now! Jesus I think I'm more excited about this game than Total War Three Kingdoms!

Takeda, its worth seeing if you can pick up other ageod games on sale. They are so much more realistic and better than total war or paradox, if a little rough around the edges.

The FoG2 internal mod download is quite interesting, but having a Steam workshop which I could configure with my own collections would be a great enhancement.
