Gamepads not working

Not sure if anyone can help - I bought two iNNEXT gamepads as my daughter can't get to grips with the keyboard but the controllers don't seem to work properly at all - D-pad doesn't seem to recognise input. I fired up Wreckfest and they work with that game, e.g. I can steer etc so I know that they work to a certain extent but they just don't seem to work with this game. Any ideas/solutions would be appreciated! Cheers.

Controllers works, you need to start Big Picture mode first, then force "always turn on" mode for controller for this game. Voila.
