Though at start it was funded by them, before the dev got bought by Monolith
But its the same engine right?
I thought blood was kind of indulgent and really fun at first but got a little boring and grindy compared to duke. Duke was way better, shadow warrior I'd rank maybe a little bit below blood. But nah dukes the best 3d realms game just for content, amount of episodes, weapon balancing, and everything else.
Blood, beat it, beat the expansions, was a fine game. The weapons are way to catastrophic... You end up dying from cheap explosions, while duke killed you with cheap enemies. The enemies in blood were also disappointing.
Honestly blood was an amazing shooter that did things with pixel splatter better than any other game, almost to the point it was like a new indy game. But I don't think it was as fun as duke to playthrough.
The others are a pain to set up. The remasters they offer are a completely let-down.
[If, then download BuildGDX with JRE e.g. and the game files from the complete editions which you can find on trusty websites.]
That is the one point I agree with, ND's blood runs a lot better and with less bugs than the duke nukem ports. The shadowwarrior remaster actually feels pretty solid to me, haven't seen anything bad about it but that it runs real well and looks good. Duke ports suck...
I tried the SW Redux earlier. It has a deadzone for mouse movement.
Meaning, little mouse movements won't get registered. First I thought it was auto-aim, but that was turned off. Turned out, it was just not registering my mouse.
