Probably because he prefers MIDI. I love the MIDI tracks myself. Nostalgia straight into my ears.

Interesting that it can be done. But, TBH I'd just play it vanilla. The game still looks great anyway thanks to the sprite works.

CD Music is off by default and easy to miss. I always played with MIDI as well until a few days ago I discovered the CD Music option and it's a whole new world now... A new fantastic point of view.

Seriously I'm blown away and creeped out by the CD soundtrack. The added voice to the music makes it so much more interesting.

Hmm, I'll probably give it a try again, I always preferred the MIDI E1M1 over the CD one so haven't checked further on

This game is awesome, I play it every once in a while. I wonder if they would ever consider remaking this or remastering this kinda like they did with Doom. Imagine what they could do with this bad boy.
