Caleb's lost quotes.....(E1M1)

Curious, I remember back in the 90s (from the shareware version of Blood, but can't remember the exact version) on the map E1M1, Caleb when drinking from an IV filled with blood, he used to say "aaaaaaaaaah......better than kool aid"

That quote was removed on purpose i suppose in the final version of Blood 1.0 (back in the 90s aswell).

Yeah you're right. I remember it, and the Blood wiki lists it as occurring when you drink from the blood IV. However, this quote doesn't trigger in Steam's One While Unit Blood either for whatever reason, so this one isn't on Nightdive.

I've heard him say "better than kool/cruel-aid" after picking up the life seed (I think) in the carnival level.

Yep he does, and yet the Blood wiki doesn't list that one. So I think they're working from an outdated list and at some point the quotation was given a new home.

I've only ever played Blood One Whole Unit from Gog and it's always been 'Out, out damn spot!' for me.

That happens on another level, I can't remember which one. I've replayed all the episodes, and I remember hearing it.
It might even be when you go into a kitchen and click on a 'please wash your hands' sign. It's definitely in the game.

The kool-aid line seems to have been removed. I wonder how many other lines are in the game files, but not used:

I remember also from way back Caleb saying "there's no business like show business like..." I've not heard him say that at all in this version. Am I missing something here or did they take that out too?

That's one of his "idle" quotes. You have to stand still and wait for him to say it. And they haven't taken anything out. This is the same as One Whole Unit Blood.

That was in the shareware version. In the retail version of the game the lines got moved around. The koolaid line got moved to the life seed in the carnival, and the "I like my hands bloody" got moved to a sink in e1m2 I believe.
