Rats don't stomp
It's a hell of a lot harder to jump on rats to kill them in this version, do you still do stomp damage?

There is stomp damage, but it seems really incosistent. It was in the original as well, but not as this much. I'd rather use dynamite/spray can/pitchfork against them (and spiders as well).

the pitchfork is nearly worthless against rats and always has been. so frustrating.

It works just fine if you crouch and then hit a rat.

The pitchfork is fine if you crouch and kite them, by slowly moving backwards as you hit them.
