How do I set default settings?

Hi!

Unfortunately I have messed up my configs and would like to return to the default settings. Is this possible?

I simply can't go to the config screen since i screwed everything up. :(

Note that I have already uninstalled the game twice, erased all local files, etc. It seems the settings are saved on steam somehow.

The B:FS config settings are stored in the Kexengine.cfg file in the following location:-

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Nightdive Studios\Blood EX

It is also the same location that the game saves are stored.

If you can't see an AppData folder, it means it is a hidden folder so once you are in your username folder, just go into the View tab of File explorer and tick the 'Hidden Items' box to make it appear.

Because you have uninstalled/reinstalled the game, it looks like the Nightdive Studios folder is not deleted when you uninstall it so that you don't lose your previous saves or configuration and for the same reason, not overwritten by the default settings when you reinstall it, which explains why the game keeps picking up your last messed-up setting. I don't know what the original default settings were but if the reason you could not go into the in-game options menu to change them was caused by a bad resolution change, at least that can be easily sorted by editing the seta v_width and seta v_height settings in the config file now.

You can also clear your download cache under Steam>Settings>Download if you think it might help.

Note that this will require your to re-login to steam.
