Blood GDX vs this.
Yes I know this has been asked a lot. But, keep in mind this game is still support so as far as I know it might have been patch since the last opinions I read.

First off. NBlood is right out. Don't bother suggesting it as it is guilty of one of the worse crime a port can commit IMO. Good work but the enemy AI is completely bonkers. In the first 10mins of playing that one I saw them do thing I never saw them doing in 20 years. Wich is kind of sad as everything else is pretty much pinpoint accurate to my memory.

So what do I gain from Fresh Supply nowadays? Assuming I do not care about multiplayer. (I really don't) Is it worth it? Compared to BloodGDX.

If you care to play any custom content later you'll better go for gdx.
Fresh Supply even fails to render portals for vanilla episodes in some cases.

nBlood is better, actually.

Being based from a source port of another build engine game dosent make it de-facto better. In fact it reminds me a lot of ZDoom/GZDoom wich are both based and expanded from Boom yet somehow lost something on the way.

I dont care about minor palette issues. But changes in behavior is something I am extremely sensible to. For ZDoom it was the IMPs and Demons. The way they move around was slightly off but not exactly something anybody without hundreds of hours would notice.

I always play that kind of retro shooter. And I played Blood on dosbox and original hardware for years. Thankfully I still got my old pentium that works well for these games still. But, no, NBlood is not as accurate as people think. Not in this regard at least. Perhaps it is superior in some other areas that dosent annoy me as much but in this specific case it does not cut it.

Have the puzzle physics been fixed in GDX?

GDX is java btw, while nBlood is based on at least something BUILD Engine

GDX is better. It just needs color palette emulation, auto pickup disable function and powerup counter.
nBlood is OK, but the newest unstable version is kinda weird for me. Some voxels won't work and the skyboxes are weird.

Java is not a downside unless you spend half your time on porn sites.

nBlood is still on v1.01. Still no updates since 8 months. The developer gave up already ?

Hmm.... there was a version beyond 1.01? Guess I'll give it another spin. Perhaps he adressed the issue I noticed with it.

Think we need to compile it ourselves. Sadly I never did that so I am a bit confused. Kind of funny that even thought I use computers in a lot of ways. I never was in a situation I deemed learning compiling useful. Of course I mean that for most of the time. Not all of it.

That was in the original game, so it was likely replicated here. It's not really harmful like the save / load game damage inversion bug.
