Basically, GGGManlives puts out a review that says the Blood port is good, everyone like GGGman's video - now Civvie puts out one of his videos, and now everyone says the GGG man bad like the NPCs they are

Also Civvie only likes Blood because it's not as "problematic" as Duke Nukem, the absolute spudbrain.

This isn't me as a fanboy of GGGmanlives either, because he's just flat out wrong about Redneck Rampage

PS-Civvie likes Blood because he thinks it's the most fun game. He's said this multiple times. I've played DOOM, Duke3D AND Blood and I agree. Duke will always be my favorite because of nostalgia but Blood is pretty much objectively more enjoyable to play.

civvie is too harsh. ggg is too positive because he is not inane fanboy. Most people won't even notice half the things he mentioned. Also people with different experience tend to have different opinions and value different things. This is getting out of hand. there isn't even a drama. Civvie didn't even calling out ggg, just an innocent joke.

Jeez we were asking for this game for a decade, and all 'sourceports' were pathetic at best. GDX is still hot trash. People are like 'omg bugs', but this is the first time Blood is completely playable hassle-free, feature-complete and gameplay is almost authentic. It can't care less about 1-to-1 recreation if I can get the same experience hassle free. Sure, there is some bugs, but they aren't detrimental to the overall experience.

Yeah, I got it, the most ungrateful people are fanboys. Don't like it - don't buy it, so devs won't release remasters like that and we'd be stuck with Dosbox. Imagine your favorite game wasn't as popular as Blood - it won't even have any other option then Dosbox. Even such cult classic as Blood only got two absolutely pathetic 'reverse engineered' source ports a decade later.

Nobody knew better at this time and went to the store.

I don't trust GGG to talk about the technical aspect accurately.

GGG said that BloodGDX is a bad sourceport when it can play vanilla Blood demos without error or desync which is a milestone in terms of accuracy. To understand why vanilla demo replays are such an important thing when determining how accurate a sourceport is, QZdoom which is a good sourceport of Doom that adds new features is not able to playback vanilla Doom demos whilst Chocolate Doom which is a recreation/preservation effort for vanilla Doom is able to playback vanilla Doom demos. Hence why factually GGG is wrong when he claims BloodGDX is an inaccurate sourceport, GGG may know a lot about how good an FPS game feels but he lacks knowledge about the technical aspect.

How they'll play and enjoy the game is most likely different from how you'll enjoy the game.
You can still enjoy watching those videos to gain different opinions about the game, but take it with a grain of salt. Their opinions aren't your opinions. You should experience and think about it yourself when it comes to your opinion.

In my opinion, It's not a greatest remaster, nor worst remaster. It's an ok remaster, above average, considering original blood and blood ports weren't bug-free either. From my experience I haven't faced anything ridiculously bad, and I was playing nBlood last month.

It's just interesting how everyone just misses the point.
It isn't about if one YouTuber likes this game and another YouTuber doesn't like it.

It's about that a Reviewer absolutely doesn't mention the bugs and what's wrong about the game.
Even if these things are just minor to him, but GGG...crap has to inform everyone about the shortcomings, so everyone can decide if it's a dealbreaker or not.
But instead, the GGG...crap video was just an advertisement for the game, not a Review.
