nBlood feels better, but this version is okay.

Try NBlood. It's currently the most accurate port. This port is good if you want client/server multiplayer though.

BloodGDX (or BuildGDX) is 99% accurate. It even can play demos from the DOS version.
What do you think of Nblood? I find it very accurate even more so then GDX...

Better than GDX?
Why?
Steven Seagull 24. juni 2019 kl. 11:14
NBlood's color pallette is the same as the original. In BloodGDX the colors are just not the same. Also because of the Java Virtual Machine (garbage collection), I have micro-stutterings (micro lags), it is not as fluent as NBlood.

NBlood is way superior over Fresh Supply, in Fresh Supply enemies are taking different amount of damage, weapons behave differently, physics behave differently, portals don't work, CD audio and cinematics are crashing the game, saving takes minutes, etc...

Do you prefer GDX or Nblood and why?

Based on my review, obviously, I prefer NBlood, I thought this is self explanatory :D GDX has different colors compared to the original game, also GDX has performance problems because Java. NBlood doesn't have these issues.

I agree with you.
Can you maybe help me with cut scenes? I have updated nblood and they don't work.

I haven't even tried to make them work, if they would work by default I would just skip them anyways. Hence, I cannot help you, sorry.

Thnx anyway.

I liked One Unit Whole Blood best. For multiplayer support though, this.

I can help.

Create movie folder in nblood directory.

Go to.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Blood\movie

Copy CS1 to CS6.ogv and place in nblood's movie folder. Don't copy atari.ogv, monilith.ogv or nightdive.ogv.

If you want music it goes in nblood main directory, no sub directory. Same goes with Crypt expansion.

*Note* for users without Blood FS and only Blood One Whole Unit. The movies (and maybe music) are on a disc image which has to be mounted, then extract movie files. They will be in 3 different formats. .Smk, .Avi and .Ogv

Enjoy. I find it better than this half baked release which I doesn't even allow you to disable vertical aim, is buggy, has weird movement and to top it off the developers ignore forums where they sell the game.

It will be the last Night Dive studios game I buy. Its not like there is a shortage.

nBlood. This port still has a few issues, and crashes.
