For me - dynamite. As mr Caress said - spam use key to get the choking hand off, then blast it.

If you play on Extra Crispy, the hand cannot be removed and will eventually kill you if it grabs you. Consider them instant death along with the Hellhounds breathing fire on you.

I only play on lightly broiled and that game mode kicks my ass enough. ♥♥♥♥ anything harder really. I don't need to take my anger out on my walls lol.

dynamite, same as rats. anything small should be killed with explosives if possible.

Well it was also tied to the framerate in the original. So it was entirely possible to just get boned because of your FPS XD
