Blood: Fresh Supply

Blood: Fresh Supply

Ver estadísticas:
is there a way to make the game look better?
dont get me wrong, the graphics are great, but they feel a bit outdated when compared to other source ports like the Strife remasterd or GZdoom.
is there a way to make textures more detailed/smoother or add lighting effects with mods and stuff?
thanks in advance

I think they're bringing texture filtering soon.

There's a mod for Blood made with Unity engine
yeah no thanks, thats a completely new remake with a different engine.
and changing a Build engine game to a different one, always makes it worse.

not to mention that remake only has 5 levels....

Just for your information: Fresh Supply doesn't use the Build engine at all... it uses a different engine, called: Kex

I can't believe that this upscaling was only done by some "AI".
I always thought these guys have some weird mustache.

Well, no. KEX is a wrapper. It feeds inputs to BUILD and then, with the BUILD data output, recreates game logic within KEX. What you are seeing is BUILD being modified by KEX.

How much control does KEX have over blood, could you add in new weapons and monster with the right coding?

That is even more interesting. I didn't know.

As for Claw it's actually insane how that game has no digital release because:

- The game still looks good
- Claw had a DVD release back in the day with DVD quality cutscenes - those still look nice.
- The game actually supports widescreen resolutions up to 720p through a cheat code
- Claw has a fanbase that's active to this day, they make maps and stuff.

Basically all you'd have to do is solve a few compatibility issues, add higher resolution support without the game thinking of it as cheating and the game is good to go for today's audience.

As a start though I'd love to see a mod that replaces Caleb's lines with Claw stuff:

Stephan Weyte is great :D
