Using the 'Made to Order' difficulty where you can choose all the individual parameters, just putting up the enemy count to Well Done makes it so much more difficult.
Blood is far more about enemy position memorisation and advanced movement/intimate knowledge of all the weapons and their secondary fires than other FPS of the era. Once you know the levels inside and out, then put the difficulty up and learn the advanced techniques. Bouncing bundles of dynamite off walls using the secondary fire, and the flare gun's secondary are absolutely essential. In short, watch Civvie's Pro Blood series. But do start on Lightly Broiled so you don't end up uninstalling out of frustration as I almost did a few days ago!
But man , if you have to know position of your ennemys and use bouncing grenade , it just means the difficulty is just beyond stupid !
There s no fun to play against Aimbots on legs.
That s why developpers add a delay to ennemies before shooting _._
First time i hear that.
How do you know that is glitched since source code has not been released.
You just confirmed it was easier on Build/DOS version.
Yeah i switched to 3/5 and it 's playable.
It's the fundamental design of the cultists unfortunately, it's meant to be this way. If it's not fun for you then it might not be the game for you, and that's all good too. I personally don't think you have to know the enemy placements to succeed here, but you do have to play peek a boo and corner check if you're new or playing blind.
There is a delay, it gets shorter and shorter as each difficulty level ramps up.
It was essentially easier on dos. This is a well known bug with the original game where damage inflicted to the player was bugged.
Taken from the Blood Wikia.
-All Versions-
The game's damage is scaled wrong when loading from a save (does not effect new games or starting from the beginning of a level). An unofficial patch to correct this issue was crated by a user on gog.com but later abandoned due to other issues it caused. The thread can still be found here. An additional improvised fix/workaround can also be found here. This problem is corrected in BloodGDX, NBlood and the official Fresh Supply.
But nope , people are telling me it s not broken , it s the way you have to play the game XD
It ' s certainly not a game for you if you are not willing to pitchfork for hours :x
You have to know the game well before attempting EC. If you are running so low on ammo that you are pitchforking enemies by force, then you need to change your tactics. From a pro's viewpoint, you should be finishing an episode and most levels with at least 40% ammo and over 100 HP and Armors.
HP and Armor is not an issue, you can find plenty in the secrets, I was at 200/200 maxed out. But there is no ammo... Should I pitchfork every zombie? That would be so boring.
Honestly for me it would have been the perfect game if there were not so many hitscanners. That is literally the only issue because it halts your momentum to an extent even if you know where they all are.
Yeah i will do that for coop parties :D
You know you dont have to kill every zombie right? Played through 1st episode on 'Extra Crispy' recently, after killing both Stone gargs I had about 33 shells and 140 bullets left.(oh, and there was still ammo boxes laying around)
EC can be a tedious experience at times, but its nowhere near as bad as you guys claim.
