No Harem route? That makes no sense to me.
So this is a game, there's that argument. Its tried and true, bad for immersion sure but it does exist as a justification for things that normally wouldn't make sense. Like Harem routes or the seemingly infinite power player characters tend to acumulate. But not having one in a game with multiple, assumingly desirable love interests seems strange.

This is especially confusing given that I have heard in another post that love interests not pursued get into relationships with other characters. Basically in every route, if you want to go for completion you will get netorare'd multiple times as the love interest you chose before gets taken away by someone else. Perhaps some people with darker tastes may enjoy that, especially if one can take the perspective of NOT being the protagonist/player-controlled character.

Maybe this is wrong information. I have the game since I love dungeon crawling genre and want to support devs that make good attempts at it, But have yet to actually play it (Pokemon Shield has currently gripped me, and I expect MonHun: Iceborn to do the same once it comes out on PC).

However, in a game where romance is a choice I kinda don't fully understand the reasons why devs go with monogamous relationships. In a game that goes for more realism and linear plot perhaps I think it would be understandable. In heavy-plot games like Trails of Cold Steel or Fire Emblem it can tie in to the overall more mature theme they have, or said relationships carry in-game bonuses that could be potentially OP.

But in Dungeon Dreams I see the makings of a fanservice-heavy game with the game's lovely ladies posted straight up for the player's looking pleasure. They're all smiling at the player too, in a sense trying to attract him/her - the devs clearly have made these characters people the players would want to have their in-game avatars/self-insert characters have intimate relations with. So why not a harem route so that the player can get the ultimate fantasy, heck make it something very difficult to achieve so that the absurdities of such a thing still has some representation?

Again if I get things wrong I'm sorry, but a quick glance at some of the posts here have got me wondering.

what would be the point and how would the MC benifit from it?
Escapism? Having plenty of girls that can take care of the MC? It might not make much sense but sometimes what we want doesn't have to. Could probably even be something simple like the love interests greeting the MC as they wake up like in Azure Dreams.

Why do you care so much if you haven't even PLAYED the game? Here's the likely answer of why it isn't available: because the developer didn't think it fit into the story or how he wanted his game to feel. Not all of your fantasies can be in every video game. ;)

Marrying them all obviously wouldn't make sense. The place where the story takes place likely does not accept polygamy as there is nothing implying otherwise. Plus the girls would likely force the guy to choose one eventually.

That said there could be a Harem route as in how the hero makes all girls fall for him but takes his time with choosing which one he wants to marry. Such period of playing the "indecisive anime hero" could be one where the girls fight over him. Till he is eventually forced to choose.

So something like "The hero was super popular among all girls who were fighting over him all the time though he eventually decided to marry girl x".
