How do I give gifts? I bought a rose but don't know how to give it. Also, can I only give gifts to marriage candidates? Or can I give to other npcs as well? Or is it only certain nocs?

Hello Sad Blueberry,
you can only give gifts to the 6 current characters that can be dated and married:
Caecily, Mai, Fiona, Nina, Jane, Danthienne.
Your relationship with them needs to have reached a certain point where you can ask them out on dates, and you will also see an option to give gifts.

Oh okay I see thank you. Is there a plan for more candidates? Because when I check intimacy level, there are 9 slots.

Also, quick question off topic but can I only eat for stats at mai's only once for every food type? I just tried all 6 of her foods and now I don't have the option to eat because she wants me to meet her in the afternoon. I hope I can still eat there once a day, I found that feature really cool to impliment with food along with how some foods can restore your health aka the fish. I've never seen a game do this where you can eat once a day and raise a stat by a little so it's really amazing to me.

I cannot seem to raise intimacy high enough to take them on dates despite using the same people in my party all of the time and taking them to the pool. What am I missing?

for some charactors you need to do thire side quests first after that then you can date them
