Playspace mover lagging and having choppy response time
Hey everyone, I am having a issue with my OVR settings where I go to playspace move and it sometimes works just fine. Other times it is as if the program is lagging. I press my bind to space drag and move my controller to perform the action and it is as if I teleport into that position instead of smoothly moving to it. I have comfort mode set to 0 and have tried multiple re installs and am at the end of my knowledge rope on what to do...any suggestions?

I've been having trouble as well. Mainly with OVR Adv as a whole. Never used to be this laggy or choppy and idk what it is. I use it in Vrchat and it's almost unusable most of the time. When I turn it off everything is fine and normal

Whenever you mention you turn off "everything", what does that refer to exactly? Are you turning off software you are running on your pc at the time or are you turning off physical electronics around you? Such as lights, cameras, or other things that could mess with Steam VR?

Sorry, I mean turn off OVR Adv. and then everything is fine. No more lag or choppy frames. "When I turn IT off everything is fine and normal" meaning I turn off OVR Adv and then my game is no longer laggy.

Ahhh alright, yeah my issue is not with the actual frames of the game, but more so when I got to play space, the play space mover itself is lagging as if I teleport to the location rather then smoothly glide to it:ridden_thumbsup:

Make sure you have "comfort mode" in the drag selection to be 0, if it's selected at different values it makes the movement happen in discrete steps (i.e. choppy)

I'm having the issue with the recent VRC update where my space mover isn't working at all. Even with comfort already set to 0 and everything seeming to be set properly. Only thing i feel it might be is mine is 4.0.1 and i tried downloading again to update but that didn't seem to work.

I've been facing the issue ever since I swapped from quest 2 to the valve index (a year ago), and friends who've also upgraded from rift s/quest 2 to the Valve index have said the same, We've tried lots of things, such as testing every individual feature in ovr advanced settings, updating drivers, re-installing and etc but the issue really does seem to be with either the base station tracked headsets or just the valve index
