Game vs Reality: Renovations
Why can't we see the "statement of work" (SOW) before accepting a renovation? By SOW I mean the list on the right side of the screen during the renovation that says what must get done during the reno. This isn't usually a problem in the renos that are requested on the job panel. But when your tenant asks for a reno, they sometimes say "just a few things" and then you get into the property and "just a few things" includes the moon. I left a tenant requested reno unfinished until they moved out because it would have broke my bank in the early going.

A simple fix would be to have the ability to break the deal, perhaps with a small monetary fee, right at the start of the reno. But I'd prefer to see the SOW before accepting the job. Optimally the SOW would have a budget set for each room.

I wasn't on the team when this was developed, but I believe that the idea of the renovation request was meant to be that they ask for a few things and then the list being more than just a few things to give you that "aw man" then you decide if you want to do it or not, but the idea to break them for a small fee is a good idea and I shall bring this up to the rest of the team!

When it's your tenants, that's one thing. You can always convince them to leave. But when it's a reno job for someone else, it's annoying.

If I have to put the three pillow forts in a too small room again... (Yes, I know the trick.)

Gotta love puzzle jobs :snowslimehappy:

Although, in your initial discussion you mention that "This isn't usually a problem in the renos that are requested on the job panel. But when your tenant asks for a reno, they sometimes say "just a few things" and then you get into the property and "just a few things" includes the moon." which is what my response was to, but now you're saying it's jobs and not the tenant requests?

I'm confused xD

Put the bed not against the wall where the door is (leave just enough room for the "feet" on that side to be green and no more room. Put two forts behind the bed and on in line with the bed. Put the climbing wall in the space between the bed and the wall. Toss the clothes on the floor between the forts.
