Max Rent (and a sidenote about leveling)
I'm wondering if there's a "Maximum Rent" value per property. I just bought the slums mansion, and I have 11 tenants in there, each in a 4 square bedroom. I'm currently bringing in a profit of just over $40k/m.

I'm wondering if it would behoove me to either tone it down, or to add tenants to the house. I read somewhere in an old guide that there's a cap of 130% of what you'd get from a single occupant, but I can't seem to confirm it with just playing.

As a sidenote, I have so many tenants now (35) that I can barely complete sidejobs (and jobs don't show up hardly at all anymore it seems), and so leveling is going to become very slow. (I haven't moved to the next district yet, despite 35+ hours of play time now, lol. I figure I could probably leave the district and have my agent handle the tenants' needs while I do sidejobs in the next district, but that's not a route I wanted to pursue). I'm level 44 currently. Is there a better way of leveling other than just waiting for leases to be up?

I can confirm there's a 130% cap and this hasn't changed since that old guide was made. Your rent is based on your prestige scores (apartment and rooms.) If you have lower prestige rooms and apartment then it's better to have more rooms and tenants to get the most out of it, but if you have higher prestige rooms and apartment scores then it's better to have less tenants living there.

As for jobs this can be because you basically are maxing out the district and when you own majority of the properties in one district your job pool decreases as each property you buy takes away from the job pool which is why we added the property limit as many people were doing this and then thinking not having jobs were a bug.

For a better way of leveling up would be to move districts because the Suburbs have more exp with their jobs and they also pay more than the slums, but they also tend to be more work.

But overall apart from that information it's kind of up to you and how you choose to play. I personally don't do more than 2 tenants in an apartment, but that's also just me and I'm a prestige addict.

I see. Thanks!

I kind of assumed the jobs lowering was due to me buying up all the property, but wasn't sure. I am perfectly ok with that, and it makes sense. I do wish there wasn't a limit on property buying, though (which I seem to have hit in this district, as there's never any upcoming sales listed in my "properties" tab of my phone). My plan was to buy up literally every piece of property I could. The jobs are ok, but are a means to an end for me. The meat of the game lies in becoming a land baron and having as many properties as possible.

I have definitely, absolutely gotten my money's worth from this game. And I'll preface this next thought by admitting that I haven't moved districts yet. But I kind of feel I'm already near the ceiling of this game; I have maxed out my properties in the slums, and have gotten all my rooms to A level prestige. I'm making money hand-over-fist (Nearly $100k/m profit over all my properties). It kind of feels like I've "arrived".

I'll make sure to check out the next district before deciding to set the game aside for a while, though.

I know you probably wouldn't want to start over, but from our conversation so far I suggest that you check out Creative Mode and all the changes made to it as we've added the ability to level up faster and not have property limits and so forth. It seems like it might be something you would enjoy!

I'll have to check it out. I ended up going to the new district, and while I haven't planned my strategy just yet, according to my personal spreadsheet of the game, I think I can easily expand my empire by slowly selling off my slum homes and buying up the properties in the new district. I'm up to 102k profit per month right now, and while money is no object now, I think my personal challenge will be to see if I can make the shift completely to the new district and see how high I can get my profit.

I am impressend by you and your increase of profit from 40k/month to 100k/month in just 1hr and 13 minutes! How did you do that?

Once you're making a profit like that, it snowballs upwards very quickly. I took out the biggest loan and was still making pretty decent profit; I bought the most expensive house I could, and got it ready to rent out. Once it was rented out, I was making positive income even while paying off the loan. Once I had enough cash to pay off half the loan, I took out the next lower loan and paid off the original loan in full.

This lowered my monthly payments, causing my liquid assets to grow even faster. I repeated this until I was in the clear again, then started over with another loan.

I did end up trying creative mode for a while. I enjoyed it a lot more than the base game in many ways.

Just a simple tip for leveling fast(er). Get huge offices in manhattan. Fill it with those tiny architect tables (20-40). Rent it for 30 days. Get 35xp * number-employees on successful contract. With my large office (39 employees) it get nearly a lvl each 30 days. Have multiple of them and rotate. Figuring out this method I got really fast from 60 to now 95 (seems to be maxlvl). Hope this helps…

I know this is an old thread, however I tried to do this and couldn't get more than 15 employees including the boss in a place with 24 desks.
I assume a cap has been placed in these 2 years that passed. I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong.
