Multiple Tenants

I have 3 bedrooms available for rent in an apartment but when I accept a contract only one tenant can move in instead of two more? Why?

You need to unlock the option to rent out to more than one tenant at a time, I forgot which level it unlocks at (or if it unlocks as the next region unlocks too), but when it's unlcoked, it becomes an option in the steps towards opening the house for potential tenants.

Once you open the house for potential tenants, you get to pick whether you'll rent out bedrooms individually, or the whole apartment at once.

I too was confused, until I unlocked it.

Relatively early into the game. I've 2/3 hours played and I have it.

I'm taking my time, after 6 hours, level 16, bought an apartment ready to go for 4 tenants (all furnished) but didn't unlock yet.... not sure how many of the same jobs I have to go threw to finally open up my money maker...

EDIT: I hope it doesn't unlock because of a certain 'mission' you need to do, because I don't want to buy the apartment the mission is telling me to buy right now.. that would be immersion breaking if you have to do what the game wants you to do

It unlocks around level 25.

Thanks @CoreyDL, not sure why this is behind a level wall though. Especially after I've renovated the villa and the ship, both, 3 times now (it's getting pretty boring) and still am level 16... I just want to buy big apartments for myself, renovate them, see how much people I can stuff in to them and search for the best tenants. Not do the same job over and over and over. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but this level wall seems a bit wrong to me personally.

It unlocks at level 12

It seemed to unlock after doing a certain amount of "open house" jobs rather than at any level in particular. I've had some softlocks so I've restarted the game 3 times now and it always unlocked for me after finishing an open house job.

Yeah you have to do the open house jobs until it unlocks. It's not related to levels.

Hmm im sure i have unlocked the ability to do this and im still not able to do another open home. I did maybe 4-5 open home quests and i saw the popup notice that i could have more tenants.
In the properties overview i can see that there is 1 Vacancies but when clicking on the place it says no more free bedrooms.
I have a screenshot if anyone can see something that im missing!

When you had the open house for the current tenant did you select whole apartment or bedroom when you setup the open house? You have 2 options on the open house to rent the whole place to 1 person or rent the individual bedrooms to multiple tenants.
